Dashavatar

Dashavatar

According to the beliefs of Hindu religious texts, God himself appears as an avatar in the world to eliminate the growing sins on the earth. Till now these incarnations of Lord Vishnu are known…

Avataars has great importance in Hinduism. Although many gods took avataar, but the importance of Avataars of Lord Vishnu is considered to be the highest. Lord Shiva also has many avataar, but for him Jyotirlingas are given priority over the avataar.

Of the ten avataars of Lord Vishnu, the first four i.e. Matsya, Kurma, Varaha and Narsingh (inhuman) in Satyuga, the next three i.e. Vamana, Parashurama and Shriram (human) in Tretayuga, Sri Krishna is in Dwapara. The incarnation of Buddha and Kalki is believe to be in Kali Yuga.  .

There is also a dissidence here. Vaishnava society considers Buddha as the ninth avatar of Vishnu, but many texts consider Balarama as the eighth of Vishnu and Krishna as the ninth avatar of Vishnu. According to this fact, the incarnation of Balarama and Krishna is considered in Dwapara.

[Matsya Avatar (Satyuga)]

In the avatar of Matsya (fish), Lord Vishnu asked a sage to collect all kinds of living being and when the earth was sinking in water, then in the Matsya avatar, God save those sage's boat was protected. In the Puranas and Manusmriti instead of the sage the description of  son of Bramha Manu name has come . After this, Brahma created life again. According to another belief, when a demon stole the Vedas and hid them in the ocean, then Lord Vishnu took the form of Matsya and received the Vedas and restored them.

[Kurma Avatar (Satyuga)]

In the avatar of Kurm(turtle) Lord Vishnu held the Mandar mountain on his backside at the time of the Samudramanthan of Kshirsagar. When the sea churning began, the Mandar Mountains started sinking into the sea.
To maintain the mountain , Lord Vishnu took Kachhap avataar and became the foundation of Mandar. In this way with the help of Lord Vishnu, Mandar mountain and the serpent named Vasuki, "Devas and Asuras got fourteen gems by churning the sea" .
The friction of the churning of the sea caused blisters on the back of the God of Kachchap, which is also seen as the backside of a turtle. At this time Lord Vishnu also took the form of Mohini but it is not counted in Dasavatara.

[Varahavatar (Satyuga)]

In the avataar of Varaha (Boar) Lord Vishnu going to the ocean to protected the land goddess(earth) , who she had reached the bottom of the ocean.  According to a belief, in this form God also killed a demon named Hiranyaksha.
Diti's womb gave birth to two sons, those named was given by Prajapati Kashyap and these names was Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha. At the time of the birth of these twin many types of terrible conflicts took place in the three worlds.

Hiranyakashipu penanced and pleased Brahma. He took a boon from Brahma ji that his death should be neither in the day nor at night, neither inside the house nor outside. In this way he started ruling as all in all by conquering the three worlds.
His younger brother Hiranyaksha obeyed his orders and started destroying the enemies. One day while wandering, he reached Varun's residence.

Upon reaching Patal lok , Hiranyaksha pleaded for war with Varun Dev and said, "O Varun Dev! You have conquered all the demons and monsters of the world. I ask you to beg for war. You fighting with me and give proof of your war skills.

On hearing that monster, Varun Dev got very angry , but looking at the time, he laughed and said, "Oh brother! Now there is no desire to fight, and now I am not able to fight a strong brave like you .

You should go to Yajnapurusha Narayan. They are the only ones capable of fighting you. Hearing the talk of Varun Dev, that monster went to Devarshi Narada and asked for Narayana's address. Devarshi Narada told him that Narayan has taken the form of Varaha at this time to take the earth out of the ocean.

On this Hiranyaksha reached the abyss. There he saw Lord Varah on his molar bringing the earth. The Mahabali (ergastic) monster said to the Varaha lord, "Hey wild animal! Where have you came from in the water?" Hearing these words of Hiranyaksha, Varaha God got very angry but He did not think it appropriate to leave the earth and fight there and he tolerated his bitter words and soon came out of the water like Gajraj(Elephant) .

By placing the earth in the proper place on the water and providing its proper foundation, Lord Varah turned to the monster. There was a fierce battle between Lord Varaha and Hiranyaksha and in the end Hiranyaksha was killed at the hands of Lord Varaha.

[Narasimhavatara (Satyuga)]

Lord Vishnu in the form of Narasingha had protected his devotee Prahlada and killed Prahlada's father Hiranyakashipu. By this avataar, we get the knowledge of the attainment of God.

Hiranyakashipu did hard penance to become immortal. Pleased with his penance Brahma Ji asked him to ask for a boon. Hiranyakashipu said, "Lord, give me this boon that I cannot die from any creature that you have created , that is, man, animal, bird, demons, monsters, snake, eunuch, etc. Neither I can die inside the house nor outside. Neither I can die in the day nor at night. Neither in the earth nor in the sky
"Brahma ji went to his residence by saying tathastu".

"After receiving the boon, Hiranyakashipu thought of revenging the death of his brother Hiranyaksha and conquered all the three worlds - gods, asuras, nagas, gandharvas, humans, yakshas, demons etc.
He defeated Indra and started living in heaven.
As a monarch of Amravati, he began to act
independently. The gods worshiped his feet. He used to stay carefree in the ebrious liqueur.  Hiranyakashipu had four sons. Prahlad was the youngest among them.

Prahlada had indulged in Bhagavadhakti as a child.  He had unwavering love at the feet of Lord Vishnu.  But due to hating Vishnu, Hiranyakashipu used to ready to punish his son as a criminal.  He called the demons and said that you guys kill it soon.

He worships Vishnu. After hearing the orders of his king, the demons took the trident and started kill to Prahlad. But Prahlada's heart was set upon in the supreme power of mind, speech and action.

Therefore all the impingement of those demons were redundant . Seeing this, Hiranyakashipu was very worried. He was  crush Prahlada under by drunken elephants. Gave poisoned by snakes. Dropped down from the mountain. Poison was given. Pressed into the ice .

He was throw into the fire.  But even the hair of Bhagwat Parayan devotee Prahlada was not burned. Prahlad became fearless and started teaching devotion of Lord Vishnu to the demons children.
Hiranyakashipu was very angry with this act and said to , "Oh lowly! You are only deteriorating yourself and want to spoil all the children of our clan as well. Oh fool! On whose strength do you fearlessly violate my orders.

"Prahlada said," O father!  I only trust the power of the Supreme God.  He is omniscient.  He is everywhere.  You too should leave your devilish feelings and go to the shelter of the these God.

"Hiranyakashipu, hearing such words of Prahlada, said," Oh fool! Now death is playing on your head. If your Jagdishwar is everywhere, then why don't you see it in this pillar? Saying this, he punched the pillar very hardly .

At that moment, one of the pillars made a terrible noise. As if the universe itself was torn. After tearing down that pillar, a strange form of God appeared. That form was neither of the whole man nor of the full lion, to make Brahma's word true, God was take Narsingh avatar.

Lord Narsingh took Hiranyakashpu to the door and placed it on his thighs and said, "Hey Asur! See, I am not a human being nor an animal. Neither are you outside the house nor inside. Neither are you on earth nor in sky.The sunset is over, but the night has not begun, so there is neither night nor day. "  Saying so, Bhagwane Narsingh torn Hiranyakashipu's body with his fingernails and killed him.

[Vamana Avatar (Tretayuga)]

In this Vishnu appeared as Vamana (dwarf). In order to protect the gods from Asuraraj Bali, the grandson of the devotee Prahlada, he took the Vaman avatar.

Lord Vishnu asked for three step of land in charity from Danveer Bali. When Bali was taking water out from the kamandal for Achman before the promise  , his guru Shukracharya took a subtle form and blocked the path for stop him.

On this Vamana said to Bali to clear the path of the kamandal by giving him a straw .  Shukracharya's eye damaged when Bali was clearing the path of kamandal, and in this reason Shukracharya got angry, then he cursed Bali to be deprived of all his possessions.

After that, when Bali said yes, he measured the earth with one step and the sky with the second step. When there was no place left to keep the third step, Bali offered his head on which Lord Vamana placed his third step.

Pleased with the sacrifice of Bali, Vamana Deva declared him the permanent Emperor of Patal lok. Even today when name comes to donor, the name of Bali and Karna comes on top.

[Parashurama Avatar (Tretayuga)]

Vishvavandya Mahabahu Parashuramaji was born to Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya from the womb of  sage Jamdagni's wife Renuka as a boon to Devraj Indra, who was pleased with the putresthi-yagya performed by Bhrigushrestha Maharishi Jamadagni.

He was the avataar of Lord Vishnu's fury . Ram under the naming-rites performed by Pitamah Bhrigu, but being the son of Jamadagni was called 'Jamdagnya'. ' Parashurama' was called because of the holding of the parsu(poleaxe) given by Shiva.

With the initial education received in the ashram of Maharishi Vishwamitra and Ritchik,  he got a divine Vaishnav bow named Sarang from Maharishi Richik and duly indestructible Vaishnava mantra from Brahmarshi Kashyapji.

Subsequently, after learning in the ashram of Lord Shankar at Kailash Girishringa, he received the specific Divyastra Vidyudabhi from Shiva. He also received Shri Krishna's Tralokvijay Kavach, Stavraj Stotra and Kalpataru mantra by the Lord Shiva.

Pleased with the difficult austerity done in Chakratirtha, Lord Vishnu gave him the blessing of staying life long on the earth for an end of Kalpa period after Tejoharan (After loosing austerities) when being Ramavatar in Treta. He was a great master of armamentology(war skills). He gave armaments & weapon science education to Bhishma, Drona and Karna.

Parashurama slayed the sinner king named Sahastrajun, and established peace by killing evil kings 21 times the whole earth.  After Ramavatar, he retired from this and made his residence on Mahendra mountain.

[Ram Avatar (tretayuga)]

Shriram was the eldest son of Ayodhya's King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya . His wife's name was Sita and he had three brothers - Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna.

Hanuman is considered to be the biggest devotee of Lord Rama. Rama killed Ravana, the king of the demon caste. Rama, who followed the path of religion, received education from Guru Vasistha along with his three brothers.

In teenage, he went to forest with Vishwamitra and Lakshmana  to end the rampage caused by the demons. Rama was accompanied by his younger brother Lakshmana in this task. Rama then killed a female demon named Tadka, her son Shubahu and forced Marich to flee.

During this time Vishwamitra took him to Mithila. Videha Raja Janak of there organized a ceremony for the marriage of his daughter.

There was a bow of Lord Shiva on which Sita was to be married to the hero who  can lift the bow and tie its cord end . No any king got successed tied the bow, it was other thing even they were not lifted the bow. Then Rama not only lifted the bow after getting Vishwamitra's orders, but in while trying to tie the bow, the great bow was broken making a loud sound.

When Maharishi Parashurama heard the loud sound, he came and  started expressing anger when after seeing status of own Guru's (Shiva) bow. But knowing the reality of Shri Ram, he returned to Mahendra mountain from there.

On the other hand, Maharaj Dasaratha thought of handing over the kingdom to Rama. Kaikeyi wanted his son Bharata to be king, so she got Rama to exile for 14 years.

Rama obeyed his father's orders. Ram's wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana also went to exile. At the time of exile, Ravana kidnapped Sita. Shriram along with his brother Lakshmana killed Ravana with the help of Hanuman and Sugriva and got Goddess Sita freed.

[Balarama Avatar (Dwaparyuga)]

There is a difference of opinion on Buddha being considered an avatar of Vishnu. In many places Balarama is considered the eighth avatar of Vishnu. However, he is undeniably considered the second (after Lakshmana) avatar of Sheshnag.

He was the elder brother of Shri Krishna who was in the womb as Devaki's seventh child. To protect against Kansa, Yogamaya transferred Devaki's womb into  Vasudeva's second wife Rohini womb. For this reason, Balaram also known as name Sankarshan and due to his matchless force, he became known as Balaram.

Balarama was always with Sri Krishna and played an important role in the transition of the era. These were the best Gadadhars and wrestler of the world who were invincible as well as the gurus of warriors like Bhima and Duryodhana.

There was a difference of opinion between him and Krishna regarding the Mahabharata. They said that this type of war should not take place between the brothers and that is why they refused to fight the war from any side and remained neutral.

[Krishnavatar (Dwaparyuga)]

Lord Vishnu was born as Sri Krishna in the house of Devaki and Vasudeva. He was raised by Yashoda and Nanda.

Although Lord Vishnu took many avatar , but his most important avatar was that of Shri Krishna.
He incarnated as the Krishna in the twenty-eightth Dwapara of the Vaivasvata Manvantara from the womb of Devaki in the jail of Mathura. Sri Krishna had incarnated to establish Dharma.

In all the incarnations, Shri Krishna was the one who appeared on this earth with sixteen arts. Whatever work he did, he considered it own important karma .

For the accomplishment of his work, he used the sam-daam-dand-bheda all because the only purpose of his incarnation was to free the earth from sinners.

He did whatever he thought fit to accomplish his purpose. He considered karma paramount, giving knowledge of karma to Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, he composed the Gita, which is considered to be the most important book in religion in Kaliyuga.

[Buddha Avatar (Kali Yuga)]

In many places Balarama is considered an incarnation of Vishnu in place of Buddha. Vishnu appeared in the form of Buddha to prepare the Asuras for the education of Vedas.

Gautama Buddha was the originator of Buddhism. He was born as Prince Siddhartha in 563 BC and died in 483 BC. He is considered one of the greatest men of this world. Hinduism later considered Buddha an incarnation of Vishnu.
But it has been introduced in a way that most Buddhists consider unacceptable and extremely unpleasant.

It has been said in some Puranas that Lord Vishnu had taken the Buddha avatar so that he could spread "false teachings" and remove "asuras" from the true Vedic religion, so that the gods could conquer them. Buddhists do not consider Gautama Buddha to be an avatar or deity, but believe his teachings to be true.

[Kalki Avatar (Kali Yuga)]

In this, Vishnu will come to the end of Kali Yuga in future. Kalki is considered to be the future avatar of Vishnu, when sin will cross the limits in Kali Yuga and Kalki avatar will appear for the destruction of the wicked in the world, which will be for the end of Kaliyuga.

When people stop following religion in Kali Yuga, then it will be avatar. The story of Kalki comes in the Kalki Purana, which describes the dialogues of Markandeya and Shukra Dev.

According to this, Kali Yuga has started, due to which the earth goes in front of Lord Vishnu along with the Gods and tells them about the his avatar . Kalki Bhagwan is born in Sambhal village as part of Lord Vishnu.

Lord Kalki goes to Sinhala Island for the purpose of marriage. There, during Jalakrida(water sports) , he is introduce to Princess Padyavati and then later married to her. By the Sri Vishwakarma was created  his supernatural and divine city.

In Haridwar, Kalki met the sages and described the character of Suryavansh and Lord Rama. This Purana, with five characteristics, is a delightful to the world, which has a beautiful and effective depiction of the most amazing activities of Lord Kalki, which is the true Vishnu form.

Life journey of Shri Krishna

Life journey of Shri Krishna

Shri Krishna's life is very full of paintings, he has seen every ups and downs of life. There is hardly any human in this world who has faced so many difficulties in life. But Krishna suffered everything, without becoming obsolete.

In those difficulties, there is a simple feeling of Krishna and that innocent smile of his. Every form of life is associated with his life message. Need to understand Krishna to see his life journey.

It is said that Lord Krishna s' smile, his innocence in his appearance and activities are self evident of spiritual transformation across globe. He reinforced the then rituals to regulate and stabilize social institutions by social interactions and restoring harmony ultimately by bringing righteousness.

All social and cultural organization as symbolic systems of communication are shaped by the inherent structure of the human brain. Experts agrees today, and expanded on the symbolic approach of rituals with religious symbol systems which provided both a "model of" reality (showing how to interpret the world as is) as well as a "model for" reality (clarifying its ideal state). The role of ritual, according to Geertz, is to bring these two aspects - the "model of" and the "model for" - together: "it is in ritual - that is consecrated behaviour - that this conviction that religious conceptions are veridical and that religious
directives are sound is somehow generated."

Human Life is a chance for devotees to establish the relationship of Divine Love, of God, whose abode exists everywhere both inwards and outwards. That endeavor should be the focus of our Lives. That Love which includes Service, That Love which makes one Devotional, That Love which transcends all Qualities, That which alone Emancipates.

Lord Sri Krishna, the son of Maharaja Nanda, is the Supreme Personality of Godhead because of His Love Divine whose remembrance drive away all fear and obstacles, because of his mystical insight, handsome appearance, sweet talk, wonderful actions, charming personality, great opulence and herding cows. He is therefore called also as Nanda Gopala.

Maa Yashoda and her neighbours and friends took immense pleasure in enjoying all of Krishna's and Balarama's pranks yet all of welfare and social reforming activities, discovered the Supreme in their hearts through Krishna's presence, the gopis and gopas were always in bliss being blessed by that power which even mere knowledge of god cannot bring to individual. The gopis especially developed a deep love for him. At the very early in age of around 10 years, Krishna decides that it is now time to leave Vrindavan and head to Mathura, to fulfil his mission. Unaware about the return possibilities, the gopis were very depressed to see Krishna leaving and especially Radha was devastated.

The birth of Krishna is in itself a transcendental phenomenon that generates awe among the Hindus and overwhelms one and all with its supra mundane happenings.
It was that time when Mother Earth, unable to bear the burden of sins, committed by evil kings and rulers, appealed to Lord Brahma, the Creator for help. Lord Brahma prayed to the Supreme Lord Vishnu, who assured him that he would soon be born on earth.

One such evil force was Kansa (Kamsa), the ruler of Mathura (out of ambition and upon the wrong association/advice of his personal confidante - Banasura, Kansa overthrew his father and installed himself as the King of Mathura) and his people were utterly terrified of him and crimes. On the day Kansa's sister Devaki was married off to Vasudeva, an akashvani or voice from the sky was heard prophesying that Devaki's eighth son would be the destroyer of Kansa. The frightened Kansa immediately unsheathed his sword to kill his sister but Vasudeva intervened and implored Kamsa to spare his bride, and promised to hand over every new born child to him. Kamsa relented but imprisoned both Devaki and her husband Vasudeva.

The seventh child, Balarama, was saved when he was moved to Rohini's womb. The eighth child born to Devaki and Vasudeva was Krishna. Krishna was saved from Kansa's wrath and raised by a cowherd couple, Nanda and Yasoda.
After Krishna grew up and returned to his kingdom, Mathura. When the news about their arrival reaches the residents of Mathura, they were all overjoyed and awaited to catch a glimpse of the lads. Ladies get atop roofs of buildings and shower flowers on Krishna and Balarama as they walk down the streets of Mathura. Even the Brahmins went to greet them in keeping with the tradition of welcoming great souls into the land of Mathura.

After killing all cruel army of Kamsa and during wrestling Krishna jumped over the high guards of Kansa and proceeded to tackle him. Kansa was well prepared for this moment and he immediately unsheathed his sword and shield. Krishna nonchalantly caught hold of Kansa's hands - it was a grip Kansa could not free himself from. Krishna then knocked Kansa's crown down and grabbed his long hair. Dragging Kansa to the wrestling dais, Krishna threw him down and straddled his chest. Striking Kansa over and over again, Krishna stayed there till he made sure Kansa was dead.

After Kamsa along with all his cruel associates were eventually killed by Krishna, as was originally predicted by the divine prophecy to restore order (Dharma), and Ugrasena was reinstated as King of Mathura and then met his real parents, Devaki and Vasudeva. The boys fell at their parents' feet. Though Devaki and Vasudeva were in ecstasy at meeting with their children at last, they also realized the true, supreme nature of Krishna and hence, stayed on in that joy of being with the Supreme Being. Ugrasena finally ascends the throne and rules over Mathura for a long time.

Lord Krishna's transcendental form is eternal, full of infinite knowledge, bliss, pure love and is thus full of the most dazzling splendor. He eternally sees, maintains and manifests the infinite universes, both spiritual and mundane. He possesses inconceivable, innumerable attributes, whom the pure souls see in their heart of hearts with the eye of devotion tinged with the salve of love. (Brahma Samhita)

In the Gita, Arjuna (the main inquirer) is selected to be the recipient of Krishna’s confidential instruction, because he is devoted to God, and not envious of his greatness. The Vedas (meaning knowledge), although appearing to be from the East, or of “Indian” origin, are actually for everyone who is open to hear them. They are also called “revealed” knowledge, descending into the pure hearts of God’s faithful, or pure devotees. Though the Vedas are certainly quite intellectual, they are not a product of the intellect or senses. While meant to convince our intellect of the truths and greatness of God, these literatures also point out the limitations of reason for understanding the Supreme Spirit or that which is inconceivable to our experience.

Thus the Vedas are revealed to the pure devotees, and today we can hear about Krishna from those who are dear to him, and love him. What we hear, we will gradually realize by becoming purified through spiritual practice, and ultimately through obtaining the grace of Krishna, and his pure devotees. By getting to know Krishna, we will gradually love him, and when we fully love him, we will know him in our heart of hearts, as our dear most friend and well wisher. Spiritual love is the way to the heart of Divinity, and Krishna is the heart of Divinity.

Prabhupada refers to Krishna, as “the Supreme Personality of Godhead”. This epithet is an elaboration from a primary verse in the important scripture, Shrimad Bhagavatam, or the Bhagavat Purana. After describing many principle incarnations of God, it is indicated that such incarnations are unlimited, like the waves of the ocean. Though unlimited, the incarnations have a source of emanation, and that source is Krishna. Krishna then is seen as the original, supreme personality of the unlimited personalities of Godhead. He is the original candle that lights all the others.

The Gita envisions a society in which every human has the right to freedom and equality.  There are no walls of religion, caste, varna, sex and wealth between man and man.  Every human being according to his nature, being detached and workless, considers it his duty to remain engaged in the service of mankind and accepts indolence, laziness and insecurity.  He does not have his own wishes.  The progress and prosperity of society is its progress and prosperity.

Although incarnated in all eras, for God, there is no “birth” or “death”. By definition He is primeval, always existing, the source of everything, who has no material form with a particular date of creation. In fact even the individual soul—ourselves—are spoken of as unborn (aja), since spiritually, eternally, we are all part of God. According to the Bhagavad-gita—Krishna’s song or sermon—God is understood to “appear” at various times to serve His purposes. These purposes are generally understood to be reestablishing religious principles, to uplift and inspire the faithful, and to vanquish the miscreants who are causing major world problems. He is compared to the sun, which appears to be “born” at sunrise, and “die” at sunset, but actually always exists beyond our view.

'Shri Krishna Sharnam Mama'

It means Shri Krishna is my refuge, shelter. In Sanskrit, one of the meanings of 'sharan' is protector. One who protects us, is the protector. Shri Krishna is my protector means Shri Krishna is the one who protects me.
Only the one who is himself powerful can protect other. Shri Krishna is God, that is why, he is the most powerful in the world. There is none who can compare or compete with him. So if Lord Krishna becomes our protector then we need fear no-one. We become fearless.
For this reason, Shri Maha-prabhuji has given us the 'Shri Krishna Sharnam Mama' mantra.

Krishna is the only person in the whole history of human consciousness who is tremendously in love with life, with the poetry of life, with the music of life, with the dance of life. He is not at all life-negative, he is very affirmative. And he accepts life as it is; he does not put god and the world as opposites.

Krishna is far closer to life. The flute is the symbol of life. Dressed beautifully, standing in a dancing posture, the flute in his hands on his lips, it looks like he is going to sing a song at any moment. He looks so alive, and he is wearing a beautiful crown of flowers with peacock feathers. This is far truer to life. That's how life is. It is tremendous joy.

Matasya Avtaar

On the day of Kartik Purnima, Vishnu took the first "Matsya" avatar.

For devotees of Vishnu, Kartikapurnima is special because the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu took place on this day. In the first incarnation, Lord Vishnu was in the form of a fish or fish. God had to take this incarnation to protect the Vedas, to protect the Saptarishis, grains and King Satyavrat till the end of the Holocaust. This made the creation of the world easy again.

Once before Kalpanta, a very large monster stole the Vedas due to Brahmaji's inadvertence. The name of that monster was Hayagriva. Knowledge vanished as the Vedas were stolen.

The darkness of ignorance spread everywhere and sin and unrighteousness prevailed. God then killed Hayagriva and protected the Vedas by holding fish to protect religion. How did God take the form of Matsya. Its astonishing story is as follows.

Before Kalpanta, a saintly king was doing penance. The name of the king was Satyavrat. Satyavrat was not only a saintly soul but also of a very generous heart. It was morning. It was sunrise.
Satyavrat was bathing in the Kritamala River. When he took water in Anjali for a tarpan after taking a bath, a small fish also came with water in Anjali. Satyavrat released the fish into the river water.
Fish said, 'Rajan! Big creatures of water kill small animals and eat them. Of course a big creature will kill me and eat it. Please protect my life. Mercy arose in Satyavrat's heart. He put the fish in his kamandalu filled with water.

'

Surprise! In one night, the body of the fish grew so much that Kamandalu began to shrink to stay. The second day the fish spoke to Satyavrat. 'Rajan! Find another place for me to live, because my body has grown.
I have a lot of trouble moving. ' Satyavrat took the fish out of Kamandalu and placed it in a pot filled with water. Surprise! The body of the fish grew so high in the pot overnight that even the matka became too small for him to live.
The other day, the fish again said to Satyavrat, 'Rajan, make arrangements for me to stay elsewhere, because even matka is getting too small for me to stay.' Then Satyavrat took the fish out and put it in a lake, but the lake also became small for the fish.
After this Satyavrat put the fish in the river and then in the sea. Surprise! Even in the sea, the body of the fish grew so much that it became small for the fish to live. Therefore, the fish again said to Satyavrat, 'Rajan! This sea is also not suitable for my stay. Make arrangements for my stay elsewhere.

Satyavrat was amazed.  He had never seen such a fish till today.  He said in awe-filled voice, 'Who are you to drown my intellect in the ocean of astonishment?  Keeping in mind the speed at which your body grows daily, it can be said without any doubt that you are divine.  If this is true, please tell me why you have taken the form of fish?  Actually, he was Lord Srihari.
Srihari, the fisherman, answered, 'Rajan!  A monster called Hayagriva has stolen the Vedas.  Darkness of ignorance and unrighteousness is spread all around the world.  I have taken the form of Matsya to kill Hayagreeva.  From today on the seventh day the earth will revolve in the cycle of holocaust.  The sea will rise.  There will be terrible rain.  The whole earth will be drowned in water.
Nothing will be visible except water.  A boat will come to you, you will sit on the boat with the saints with all the grains and medicines seeds.  I will see you again at the same time and will give you knowledge of self-realization.

Satyavrat remembered Hari from the same day and started waiting for the holocaust. On the seventh day, the scene of the Holocaust was present. He started flowing out of his range. Terrible rain began. Water got burnt in a short time.
The whole earth dissolved in water. A boat appeared at the same time. Satyavrat sat on the boat with the Saptarishis, he also filled the seeds of whole grains and medicines on the boat.
The boat floated in the sea of catastrophe. Nothing was visible in that ocean of holocaust except for that boat. Suddenly, the fish-like god appeared in the ocean of holocaust.
Satyavrat and Saptarsigna started praying to the God of fist, 'O Lord! You are the beginning of the universe, you are the guardian and you are the protector. Take pity on us, protect us.

On the prayers of Satyavrat and Saptashis, the God of Matsyarupa was pleased. He gave enlightenment to Satyavrat according to his word, told, 'I live among all beings. There is neither high nor low. All beings are equal. The world is mortal. There is nothing in the mortal world except me. The creature who spends his life looking at me, finally gets into me. '
Satyavrat's life was blessed after receiving enlightenment from the God of fish. He became free only when he lived. When the outbreak of the holocaust subsided, the God of Matsya killed Hayagriva and snatched the Vedas from him. God again gave Vedas to Brahma.

In this way, God not only saved the Vedas by taking the form of fish, but also gave immense welfare to the creatures of the world. Similarly, God comes from time to time and takes care of gentlemen and sages.

Avatar of lord shiva

Many incarnations of Lord Shiva are described in Shiva Mahapuran, but very few people know about these avatars.  According to religious texts, there were 19 incarnations of Lord Shiva.  Let's know about the 19 incarnations of Shiva -

 1- Virbhadra avatar-

This incarnation of Lord Shiva took place when Mata Sati sacrificed her body in a yajna organized by Daksha.  When Lord Shiva came to know of this, he uprooted one of his heads in anger and furiously slammed it on the mountain.  Powerful Virabhadra appeared from  that jata.  This incarnation of Shiva destroyed the Yajna of Daksha and capital punishment Daksha by beheading him.

2- Pippalad avatar -

The Pippalad avatar of Lord Shiva is of great importance in human life.  The relief of Shani's suffering was possible only with the grace of Pippalad.  Legend has it that Piplad asked the gods - what is the reason that my father Dadhichi left me before birth?  The Gods said that such a misogynism was created due to the sight of (Shani) Saturn.  Pippalad was very angry on hearing this.  He cursed Shani to fall from the constellation.

Saturn started falling from the sky at the same time under the influence of curse.  On the prayers of the gods, Piplad forgave Shani on the fact that Shani would not trouble anyone from birth to the age of 16 years.  Since then, just by remembering Pippalad, Saturn's pain is removed.  According to Shiva Mahapuran, Brahma himself named this incarnation of Shiva.

He said to that virtuosity - because you are beautiful like Kaal, you are a true Kalraj.  Bhairava is horrific.  Kalabhairava, after receiving these vars from Lord Shankar, cut off the fifth head of Brahma with the finger nails .  Bhairava became guilty of the sin of brahmhatya by cutting off the fifth head of Brahma.  In Kashi, Bhairav was liberated from the sin of brahmhatya .  Devotion to Bhairav is said to be mandatory for Kashi people.

To kill Hiranyakashipu, Lord Vishnu took Nrisinhavatara.  Even after the slaughter of Hiranyakashipu, when the anger of Lord Narsingh did not calm down, the deity approached Shivji.  Then Lord Shiva took shape and he reached Lord Narasimha in this form and praised him, but Narasimha's anger did not calm down.  Seeing this, Lord Shiva in the form of Sharabha wrapped Narasimha in his tail and flew away.  Then somewhere the anger of Lord Narsingh calmed down.  He apologized to Sharadbhaatar and praised him in a very humble manner.

Then Nabhaha reached the Yagya Bhoomi and performed the Yajna by the clear pronunciation of Vaishya Dev Sukta.  The worldly Brahmin Yajna went to heaven by giving away residual wealth.  At the same time, Shiva appeared in the form of Krishnadarshan and said that he has the right over the residual wealth of the yajna.  When there was a dispute, Krishnadarshan Rupdhari Shivji asked him to take a decision from his father.  On asking Nabha, Shraddhadeva said - that man is Lord Shankar.  The residual item in the sacrificial fire is his own.  Nabhagh praised Shiva by obeying his father's words.

In order to break this pride of the gods, Shiva took the form of Yaksha and placed a straw in front of the gods and asked him to cut it.  Even after applying his full power, the gods could not cut the straw.  At that time there was a voice in the air that this Yaksha is Lord Shankar, the destroyer of all pride.  All the gods praised Lord Shankar and apologized for his crime.

Hayagriva avatar of Lord Vishnu

When God fought with the Hayagriva daitya

Once upon a time. There was a mighty daitya named Hayagriva. She went to the banks of the river Saraswati and performed austerities to a great extent to please Bhagwati Mahamaya. He kept chanting a demon Mahamantra for many days without eating anything. His senses had become under his control. He had quit all pleasures. Pleased with his hard penance, Bhagwati appeared to him as Tamasi Shakti.

Bhagwati Mahamaya said to him, "Mahabhaga! Your penance was successful. I am very happy with you. Whatever you wish, I am ready to fulfill it.
 Child! Ask for the groom.
Hayagriva was happy to hear Bhagwati's speech filled with kindness and love. His eyes were filled with tears of joy. She praised Bhagwati and said,
 "Kalyanamayi Devi!
 Greetings to you.
 You are mahamaya.
It is your natural trait to create, maintain and destroy.
Nothing is impossible with your grace.
If you are happy with me then please give me the boon of immortality.

 The goddess said, "daitya !
Whoever is born in the world, his death is certain. No one can escape this legislation of nature. It is impossible for someone to be immortal forever. The immortal Devtas also have to go to the death world after the death of virtue. Therefore, you ask for a bride other than immortality.

 Hayagreeva said,
"Well, I should die at the hands of Hayagreeva. Others may not kill me. This is the desire of my mind. May you please make it complete. "So be it." Saying this, Bhagwati became confused. Hayagriva went home to experience immense bliss. He became invincible with the influence of the goddess's groom.

There was no one in Trilok who could kill the evil one. He took away the Vedas from Brahma and persecuted the Devtas and sages. Yagnadi karma stopped and the system of creation started to deteriorate.

The God of Brahmāji went to Lord Vishnu but he was immersed in Yoganidra. His bow was ready. Brahma ji produced a worm called Vamri to awaken them. With the inspiration of Brahma, he cut off the bow of the bow. At that time a terrible word occurred and Lord Vishnu's forehead was cut off and became invisible. Seeing the headless god's torso, the misery of the gods was not limited.

Everybody saw this strange incident and praised Bhagwati.
 Bhagwati appeared.
 They said,
"devtas don't worry. By my grace you will have profit , Brahma ji.

Cut the forehead of a horse and attach it to the torso of God. This will lead to the death of God. They will kill the evil Hayagreeva monster in the same way.
Saying this, Bhagwati became intrepid. According to Bhagwati's statement, Brahma ji took off the forehead of a horse and attached it to the torso of God. By the grace offerings of Bhagwati, Lord Vishnu became hayagrivatavar at that very moment.
Then God had a terrible war with the Hayagriva monster. In the end Hayagriva died at the hands of God.

By killing Hayagriva, God re-surrendered Brahma to the Vedas and solved the crisis of gods and sages...
