Why did Shri Ganesh make mouse his vehicle?

Why did Shri Ganesh make mouse his vehicle?

Every god has a vehicle. Someone has lion, someone has Garuda and someone has bull etc. That is, all of them are special in themselves. A lion means a strong, fast-moving vehicle faster than a man and a bull means a dedicated devotee.  So it makes sense that all the Gods choose their special vehicles. But why did Ganpati Bappa make a mooshak (mouse) his vehicle?  Has this question ever come to your mind… So let's know its secret…
All the worshipers of Lord Ganpati have been surprised to see his unique vehicle as per his wonderful form. It is also natural to wonder why Lord Ganesha with such a big and heavy body chose a mouse as his vehicle from a small.

In Hinduism, there is a law to worship Lord Ganesha on Wednesday.  It is said that by worshiping him, all the sufferings of a person go away. Being the lord of the ganas, he also has a name Ganapati. Let me tell you that Lord Ganesha had chosen his vehicle as a mouse, but hardly anyone knows the secret behind it.  So today we will tell you why he chose the mouse.

Everyone is convinced of the wisdom of Ganesha. Everyone lost in arguments by Shree Ganesha. It is his passion to get to the deep of every single thing or problem, to do it consideration and reach to conclusion.  The mouse also does not lag behind in arguments. The job of a mouse is to scrape anything, whatever the mouse sees, it rips it and analyzes its part by part.  Perhaps Ganesha may have chosen the vehicle as his own given the same characteristics of the mouse.

Ganesh as we know is the son of Shiva and Parvati. His vehicle is a mouse named Dink. Being the lord of the ganas, he also has a name Ganapati. Ganapati is the god of wisdom and learning.

But have you ever noticed that his vehicle is not according to his physical structure?  If your attention has gone towards this, then you must also have thought that his vehicle should have been a strong animal.  Then why did he choose the mouse as his vehicle? Looking for a logical answer to this, it is known that even the mouse has a lot of passion(curiosity), due to which they try to find out what is inside it by bite off everything. And Lord Ganesha also gives him wisdom, in which the curiosity has great desire. And he is equally agile and also gives the message of being aware.

But this is not the only reason, there are some interesting stories behind the mouse as the vehicle of Lord Ganesha. Today in this article we will tell you why Lord Ganesha chose a mouse as his vehicle and who he was.
First Story:------
Once upon a time, Devraj Indra was talking to all the gods in his meeting on a serious matter.  Along with the gods, Gandharvas and Apsaras were also present in his meeting.  All the other people here were listening to Devraj Indra and were also giving their valuable views. But a Gandharva named Krounch was also present in the meeting, whose attention was not visible at all in the discussion happening there. His attention was only on the Apsaras present in the meeting, as well as by flickering nature he started joking with those Apsaras.
At first Devraj Indra ignored his antics, but when his actions increased to a great extent, he explained Krounch in gestures.  But at that time the Krounch was engulfed in frenzy, he ignored his point and kept on in his antics. Enraged by his audacity, Devraj Indra cursed him to become a mouse. Due to the curse, the Krounch Gandharva turned into the mouse and as soon as the mouse was formed, it started to run around and create havoc. Devaraj Indra's anger was further aggravated by his antics, and immediately ordered to throw him out of heaven. On receiving his orders, the gatekeepers threw the mouse out of the gate of heaven.
As soon as he was thrown from there, he fell directly into the ashram of Parashar Muni, where he shattered all the grain's pot in anger.  At the same time, all the food and food items kept in the pot he started eat, after that he also destroyed all the plants of Parashar Muni's garden.  Along with this, also destroyed all clothes and religious texts of sages in ashram.
Parashar Rishi became very sad due to all the useful things of the ashram being destroyed and started cursing the deeds of his previous birth that the misdeeds have resulted in disturbing the peace of my ashram.  Now how to get rid of this mouse's terror?
Then Parashar Muni called upon Gajanan and urged him to save my ashram from the terror of this mouse.
Then Ganesh ji told Parashar ji that I just make this mouse my vehicle.  Ganesh ji threw his stunning loop, the loop followed the mouse and went to the patal loka and tied his throat and dragged him out and presented him in front of Gajanan.  The mouse fainted by the loop's grip.
As soon as his unconsciousness ended, Mouse started worshiping Ganesha and started begging for his life.  Ganesh ji was pleased with the praise of Mouse but told him that you have given a lot of trouble to Brahmins.  I have incarnated only for the destruction of the wicked and for the welfare of saintly men, but the protection of the refugee is also my ultimate dharma, so ask for whatever boon you want.
Hearing this, the arrogant of that mouse woke up and said, 'I don't want to ask for anything from you, you can plead with me.' Ganesha smiled and said, 'If your word is true then you become my vehicle.  Ganesh ji immediately mounted on him as soon as  when the mouse told so be it .
Now, under the weight of heavy Gajanan,  the mouse felt life-threatening crisis.  He then prayed to Gajanan to make his load affordable for him.  In this way Ganesh ji made him his own vehicle by destroying the pride of mouse.  In this way, this vehicle of Ganesha also indicates from the interpretation of worldly life to spiritual life.
Second Story:------

In ancient times there was an asura(demon) named Gajmukh.  Gajmukh had a dream that he should take possession of the earth and the heavens as well.  To fulfill this desire, he made a plan to please Lord Shiva one day.  He went to a dense forest where he started penance of Shiva.  Many years passed but he still stood on one leg and indulged in the penance of Shiva and kept chanting his name.

Bholenath was pleased with Gajmukh's penance and told him to ask for a boon.  In the boon, Gajmukh said that no weapon of the universe could kill me, give me such a boon.  Lord Shiva approved the boon by saying so be it.  Gajmukh was very happy after getting a boon from Lord Shiva, he started to fulfill his wish.  Soon he took possession of the Earth and Hades, after which he invaded heaven.  Lord Shiva had a boon that no any weapon could kill him. That is why he did not suffer any damage from the divine weapons of the gods.

Gajmukh drove the gods out of Devaloka, after which all the gods reached the shelter of Trideva Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.  After listening to the problem of the Gods, Bholenath told Lord Ganesha to fight with Gajmukh.  Following the orders of Lord Shiva, Ganapati ji fought with Gajmukh.

Due to the boon of Bholenath, Lord Ganesha's weapon was not being effect on Gajmukh. So all the weapons of Ganapati also ended and became ineffective.

Meanwhile, Ganpati broke his one tooth and hit it on Gajmukh when he became unarmed for a moment.  The tooth was not really an weapon, so it was proved infallible and Gajmukh was seriously injured.  Despite this, Gajmukh did not give up. He took the form of a giant mouse from his maya(illusion) and started running towards Ganapati with full speed.  When Ganpati saw Gajmukh coming towards him, he too started running towards Gajmukh at full speed and jumped & sat on his back.  And Shri Ganesh transformed Gajmukh into a mouse for life.

Gajmukh tried his best to beat Ganpati and Ganesh also rode on his neck with full force.  Gajmukh finally gave up after a long struggle.  Even after this, Ganesh ji did not leave him.  He said that you are a wicked by nature.  That is why it would be better that you always remain my vehicle in the same way, so that I will always ride you and control your wickedness .  Gajmukh accepted his command and became the vehicle of God.

Third Story:------

There is a story in the Ganesh Purana on how Mouse became vehicle of Lord Ganesha.  Which is somewhat similar to the first story.

In ancient times, there was a very beautiful ashram of the Saubhari Rishi on the Sumeru mountain.  His very beautiful and loving wife was named Manomayi.  One day the sage went to forest to get wood and Manomayi was engaged in housework.  At the same time a wicked named Krounch Gandharva came there and was distraught when he saw amazing  pretty Manomayi. Wicked Krounch held the hand of the sage-wife.  The sage wife weeping and trembling started begging him for mercy.  At the same time Saubhari rishi came.  Due to anger,  his eyes turned into red .

He cursed Gandharva and said- 'O vicious!  You have come like a thief and have caught the hand of my wife, so you will fill your stomach by stealing under and around the earth. So you will be a mouse.

The trembling Gandharva prayed to the sage - 'O rishivar, I only touched your wife's hand due to indiscretion.  Please forgive me. '  The sage said - 'My curse will not be in vain, however Ganapati Dev Gajmukh will appear in the form of Maharishi Parashar's son in DwaparThen you will become his vehicle, so that the gods will also respect you.

After many year , that Krounch Gandharva becoming a mouse and started to destroy the ashram of Maharishi Parashar on earth.  That mouse was very huge and terrible like a mountain. His teeth were very big, sharp and frightening. Then his son Gajmukh grabbed that mouse by a stunning loop and started playing with him and sat on top of him.  Then mouse came to know that this is Tarnahar(Saviour) Devadhidev Prabhu Gajmukh.

Then the pride of the mouse ended and he became very small.  And he prayed that! 'O'  Lord you may be so light for me, so that I can bear your weight.  Hearing his humility, the Lord was pleased with him.  From then onwards Mooshak (mouse) started getting respect and got fame as the vehicle of Sriganesh.

♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧

Gods chose their rides very specifically.  Their vehicles also describe their characteristics. Mouse is the vehicle of Gauri putra Ganesha.  The word Mushak(mouse) is derived from the Sanskrit Musha which means to rob or to steal. Symbolically the brain of a human is like a rat. It is surrounded by selfishness.  Ganeshji sitting on a rat is a sign that he has conquered selfishness and has awakened the sense of public welfare within himself.

People say their wish in the mouse's ear.

It is said that if you want to complete your vow or wish soon, then you can tell your complaint with Mooshak(mouse), it is believed that mouse is very close to Ganesh ji and if you tell him your wishes . Then he will quickly help you and tell all things to Ganesh ji . Ganeshji is the lord of knowledge and wisdom and is unmatched in logic, the same qualities are also in mouse.  For this reason, he is the vehicle of Ganapati and is considered very close to Ganapati.  People believe that if you say something in the ear of a mouse, it reaches Ganpati very quickly.  Ganapati does not postpone the words of mouse due to being dear and the wish is fulfilled.  This is the reason why a large idol of mouse is placed in all the big temples and people worship him.  On Ganesh Chaturthi too, some people bring a statue of Mouse with Ganpati and keep it in the house.

Ganesh Purana also describes that in every era, the vehicle of Ganesha keeps changing.  In Satyuga, the vehicle of Ganesha is Lion.  In Treta Yuga, Ganesha's vehicle is Mayur (Peacock) and in the present era i.e. Kali Yuga, his vehicle is horse. The present form of Lord Ganesha is worshiped in the form of Gajanan in the form of Parvati-Shiva son, this is the incarnation of his Dwapara era, Lord Ganesha in the Satyuga became famous as Mahotkat Vinayak, whose vehicle was lion.  In Treta Yuga, he was known as Mayureshwar, whose vehicle was Mayur (peacock).  His famous form of Dwapara Yuga is Gajanan, whose vehicle is a mouse and at the end of Kali Yuga, the Dhumraketu form of Lord Ganesha will be revealed. His vehicle will be horse. Lord Ganesha is also wealth giver.

What are the gifts that Mata Sita received after marriage in Ayodhya

What are the gifts that Mata Sita received after marriage in Ayodhya.

After Satyuga, Lord Shri Vishnu Hari incarnated on this earth as Lord Shri Rama in Tretayuga.  And Shri Sheshnag born as his younger brother Lakshmana, Goddess Lakshmi as Mother Sita, Lord Shankar's Anshvatara as in the form of Hanuman ji, they put an end to the growing tyranny on earth. Later lord Shri Ram was also got famous with the name of Maryada Purushottam. How did Lord Shri Ram become Maryada Purushottam (supreme dignified person)? And will also know what Lord Shree Rama gifted to Goddess Sita (to show first time face) after the marriage ceremony.  Today, we will provide you further detail in this regard.

After marriage in India, the ritual of showing the face of a newly-married bride has been going on for centuries. Whenever someone sees the bride's face for the first time, they definitely gives her some gift in return. Even on occasion of suhaagtraat (the first night of marriage), when the husband sees his wife's face, he also gives some gifts.  As we have already told you that this tradition has been going on in India for centuries, so today we are going to tell you about the story of the Ramayana period.  In which it will be known that after marriage, whom gave what type of gift to Mother Sita in Ayodhya.

Lord Rama and Mother Sita, evidence of their existence on earth still exists. Along with the birthplace of Lord Rama, every that place where the Lord rama did some leelas or lived during exile period . There are many such sites which are in India, now the temple has been constructed at these places. Though Lord Ram's birthplace is frequented by devotees, tourists throughout the year, but there is a large crowd on special occasions.

Here we are taking you to a similar place located in this ancient and famous city of India.  It is famous for Mata Sita and is known as Kanaka Bhavan.  In connection with this, it is said that at the time of marriage, Mother Sita was received as a gift.

The story is that in the Treta Yuga at the court of Maharaja Janaka in Mithila, when Shri Ram break Lord Shankar's bow, Janaki put Jayamala in his neck.  That night Prabhu Shri Rama started thinking that Janakanandini Vaidehi would now go to our Ayodhya.  Therefore, there should be a beautiful building for her.

The story said that the moment the wish arose in the mind of God, at the same moment, Queen Kaikeyi saw the divine Kanaka Bhawan of Saket Dham in a dream in Ayodhya. The Queen narrated her dream to

Maharaj Dasaratha and said, O Maharaj " I wish that you build the same beautiful palace as my dream.

On the request of Dashrathji, Devshilpi Vishwakarma ji came to Ayodhya to build Bhavan (palace).  He made a very beautiful construction.  Queen Kaikeyi named it Kanaka Bhavan.

There was One day remain for the entrance in Kanak bhavan, then on receiving the news of Lord Rama's marriage, Mother Kaikayi made up her mind to present it to her beloved son Ram and Sita and she did the same.

Kanaka Bhavan was given by Kaikeyi as a gift to Mata Sita.  When Janak Nandani Vaidehi mother Sita came to Ayodhya after marrying Lord Rama, Kaikeyi was very happy to see her.  She was fascinated by mata Sita' beauty and the beautiful appearance that captivated her mind.  It is said that Kaikayi gave Kanak Bhavan as a gift to newlywed goddess Sita in a face to express her affection.

This unique and very amazing place is also mentioned in the scriptures.  It is said that when Kaikeyi saw Goddess Sita, she became affactionate with her beauty.  It is also mentioned that Kaikeyi loved Lord Rama more than all his sons, he was her most beloved son.  In such a situation, her beloved

son's wife was also very dear to Kaikeyi.  So she decided to give the best gift and presented Kanaka Bhavan to Vaidehi.

Some people also believe that Shri Ram had given this palace to mata Sita for showing first time face after marriage. Mostly historians do not believe this to be correct.  Which of these things is right and which is wrong, it cannot be said with assertion.  But many people also believe that Lord Shri Ram had promised to Mother Sita ,he will not marry to other in future.  But he did not give any kind of palace to her.

One aspect of Kaikeyi's life is that she loved Sita more than her real daughter-in-law.  The direct evidence of this is the'Kanak Mandap' or 'Kanak Bhavan' inAyodhya.  It is known from the name that this building must have been built with gold sometime.  It is said that Maharaja Dasaratha was so impressed with Kaikeyi that he used to call him as Kanu, Kanak etc. Hence it was named Kanak Mahal.

There is no mention of Kanaka or Kanu in
 stories related to Ramayana, Ramcharit
Manas or Ayodhya.  Kaikeyi's character is
not usually seen with respect.  But, Queen
Kaikeyi had more affection and love for
Rama than her son Bharata in heart. Even
today, this tradition is in the states of
Uttar Pradesh, Bihar etc.  There the
 mother-in-law give gift to daughter-in-law
for showing first time her face after
marriage . This huge grand building is
currently one of the best sightseeing
 places of Ayodhya.

Chudamani is an ornament to wear in the hair of women. (It is necessary to know about Chudamani here because this Chudamani confirmed that Janakanandini is in Lanka).

Fourteen gems came out of the Samudramanthan (churning of sea), at the same time two goddesses were born from the ocean -

 1- Ratnakar Nandini

 2- Mahalakshmi

 * 'Ratnakar Nandini dedicated her mind-body to Shri Hari (Vishnu ji) on seeing him!  When she proceeded to meet him, Sagar gave Chudamani to his daughter, this divine ornament created by Vishwakarma (which was made of divine gems ).

** At this time Mahalakshmi was born and  when Lakshmi saw Vishnu ji and accept him as husband .  Ratnakar Nandini was left stunned after seeing this.

Shrihari , who knows the desire of everyone, reached  Ratnakar Nandini and said softly, I know your sentiment, when I will take the incarnation on earth, then also you will take avatar on earth as my destructive power .

I will wholeheartedly accept you in the form of Shri Kalki in the Kaliyuga, now it is Satyuga, you do penance in Treta, Dwapara, on the Trikuta peak, fulfilling the desires of your worshipper by the name of Vaishnavi.

While leaving for penance, Ratnakar Nandini took out the chudamani from her hair and gave it to Shree Vishnu as a her memory , while Indra Dev stood there, Indra became eager to get the chudamani, later Vishnu ji gave that Chudamani to Indra Dev, Indra Dev decorated it in the hair of Indrani.

A demon named Shambarasur who attacked on heaven, Indra and all the gods hid from defeat in the battle. After a few days Indra Dev reached Ayodhya King Dasaratha to seek help . On behalf of Indra, King Dasaratha came to heaven to fight Shambarasura with Kaikeyi and in the battle Shambarasura was killed at the hands of Dasaratha.

In the joy of winning the war, Indra Dev and Indrani gave a grand welcome to Dasharatha and Kaikei and presented gifts.  Indra Dev gave Dasharatha ji the four wings of the divine swans of "Swarga Ganga Mandakini".  Indrani gifted the same divine chudamani to Kaikei and gave her a boon, the woman who will have this chudamani in her hair, her fortune will remain intact and indefectible , and no enemy will be able to defeat the state where the woman lives.

King Dasaratha and Kaikei returned to Ayodhya after receiving the gift. Seeing the amazing love of Rani Sumitra, Kaikeyi presented the chudamani to Sumitra.  This chudamani could not be equated with any ornament around the world.

When the marriage of Shri Ram Ji was completed with Mother Sita.  Sri Rama came to Ayodhya Dham after marrying Sita Ji, all the rituals were completed.

All three mothers performed the tradition of seeing the first time face of newly married bride.

First of all Rani Sumitra gave the same chudamani to Sita ji at tradition of showing face. Also Mata Sumitra, seeing the face of Sita Mata, handed her over to her two sons Lakshmana and Shatrughna.

As we mentioned earlier, Mata  Kaikeyi provided Kanaka Bhavan in the tradition of showing face to Sita Ji.  Finally, Kaushalya Ji came to Sita Ji and handed over the hand of Lord Shri Ram to Sita Ji.  What else will happen in the world?  Janak handed over the hand of Sita to Rama and Kaushalya handed over the hand of Rama to Sita.

Rama's glory Rama only knows that such a lowly and inferior person like us cannot tell Kaushilya's affection for Sita Rama.

After Sitaharan, when Hanuman ji reaches Lanka to find mother, Hanuman ji meets Sita ji in Ashoka Vatika. Hanuman ji gives the ring

given by God to Sitamata and says -

मातु मोहि दीजे कछु चीन्हा

जैसे रघुनायक मोहि दीन्हा

चूडामणि उतारि तब दयऊ

हरष समेत पवन सुत लयऊ

Sita ji took off the same Chudamani and gave it to Hanuman ji, thinking that if this chudamani remains with me, it is not possible for Ravana to be destroyed.  Hanuman ji came back from Lanka and gave the chudamani to Lord Shree Rama and told him about the sorrow of Mataji.

The story ahead of this is well known to all of us.

Even in Tretayug, when Ram, son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya, and Sita, daughter of King Janak, were married, after marriage Lord Rama also gave a precious gift to Mother Sita, in the occasion of to seeing the first time face of his wife .  Sita Maiya was very

pleased to got that.

After all, what such gift did Shriram give as first time  to showing face of his wife Sita, let us introduce you to this mythological saga of Ramayana.

Shri Ram and Goddess Sita were the main characters of Ramayana.  Sri Rama is considered to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Sita incarnation of mata

Lakshmi.  We all know that Shri Ram is also called Maryada Purushottam.

There is a very beautiful incident in the Ramayana about the marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Goddess Sita.  It is told in the Ramayana that the first meeting of Sri Rama and Goddess Sita met in the garden.  Goddess Sita goes to the garden to worship Goddess Gauri and Lord Rama also arrives in

the garden to pick flowers for his guru Vishwamitra.  There, they see each other for the first time and are fascinated towards each other.

Since Goddess Sita does start to like Sri Rama since her first meeting, she prays Mother Gauri to get Sri Rama as her husband.  Mother Gauri knows the desire of Goddess Sita and says-

‘मनु जाहि राचेउ मिलिहि सो बरु सहज सुन्दर सावरो।

 à¤•रुना निधान सुजान सीलु सनेहु जानत रावरो ॥’

And the prayer of Goddess Sita is fulfilled
and she gets Sri Rama as her husband.
There are many obstacles in the marriage
of Sri Rama and Goddess Sita such as
the condition of the swayamvara and the
Mangalik Yoga present in the Kundali of
Lord Rama.  But these obstacles do not
stop them from getting married.  These
 obstacles are overcome automatically
and Shri Ram gets married to Goddess
Sita.  In this marriage, all the Gods and
Goddesses come to join them by
 changing their forms.

But the most important thing about marriage is when Goddess Sita and Lord Rama meet for the first time after marriage.  After marriage, there is a ritual of to showing her face.  The gift given by Sri Rama to Goddess Sita in this ritual was very special and priceless.

During this ritual Shri Rama gave no any visible gift but gave a promise as a gift to Goddess Sita.  According to this promise, Shri Ram will follow one patnidharma (have only one wife).  He promised that no woman other than Goddess Sita will come into his life. Shri Ram kept his promise throughout his life and never accepted the proposals of other marriages that came to him.  But following many other dignities, Lord Rama had to sacrifice Goddess Sita.

Followed his promise to Goddess Sita, he throughout whole life life. His father also had three queens. While he did not live with Sita, he could have got married if he wanted. That

promise, to set high standards for all his ideal relationships and Lord Rama is known as Maryada Purushottam because of being an ideal  king. But Lord Rama was very sad when Lord Rama had to sacrifice Goddess Sita due to following many other dignities and started living like a sannyasin (Asetic) in the palace too because the his beloved queen mata Sita was living in  the forest like a sadhvi (Chaste).

Ramji's life may have been a struggleful and he faced criticism due to Sita's abandonment and the Agnipariksha, but it was plan of god. Ram and Sita were incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi who were born to destroy Adharma (unrighteous) and establish Dharma.

Rama and Sita's mutual love is still an inspiration for couples.

That is why Lord Shri Rama is called Maryada Purushottam.

Maharishi Dadhichi donated his bones to the gods

Maharishi Dadhichi donated his bones to the gods

Who does not know Muni Dadhichi, who sacrificed his body and protected the gods and all the three worlds,  Vishwakarma by making Vajra from his bones gave to gods, then Indra killed the monster called Vritrasura. But do you know that once Maharishi Dadhichi drank the weapons of all the gods, which is described in the Brahma Purana .

According to the story:-

Once all the gods including Yamraj and Indra come to the ashram of Maharishi Dadhichi, they all came there after defeating the demons and monsters, due to which all the gods were very happy. Muni Dadhichi also paid due respect to all the gods and asked the reason for coming to the ashram, then all the gods said that Munivar, we have conquered all the great demons and monsters, now we have no fear of them. We are very happy, so we do not see any benefit of keeping our weapons, we cannot even carry the burden of these weapons, when we keep these weapons in heaven, the demons detect them and steal them, so we Keep these weapons in your holy ashram.

Here, there is no fear of demons and monsters. Because of your chanting and austerity, the whole region is holy and safe and there is no one to equal you in austerity, then Muni Dadhichi said that it is okay as you all think it is appropriate. But then the Muni's wife said, "What do you need to do in this? If you place these weapons in the ashram, then the enemies of these gods will also envy you, and if any weapon is stolen or destroyed, then also these gods will be angry. Therefore, I do not think that your thought is appropriate, after listening to his wife, Dadhichi Muni said that "I have already said yes to the requests of the gods, so it is a great sin to be dissuaded.

Hearing this, all the gods put their divine weapons and arms in the Dadhichi muni ashram and went back to their respective abode, after the gods had gone, Muni Dadhichi stayed in the ashram with his wife and did penance. Thus 1000 divine years passed but none of the gods came to take back their weapons, then Muni Dadhichi said that "Gods and Goddesses do not want to take their weapons from here. And the demons envy me, now you tell me what to do, then the  Muni's wife said that I had already said that this work is not right, now do what you think is appropriate.

Because the great brave and ascetic warriors of the demons will surely steal it today or tomorrow . Then Dadhichi Muni to get bathed those weapons with water while reciting the holy mantra to protect those weapons. After then sage Dadhichi drank that water. Due to this all weapons were became powerless and useless. All weapons was destroyed one by one according to the time, this was the reason for which Maharishi Dadhichi's bones were needed to kill Vritrasura.
Because the great brave and ascetic warriors of the demons will surely grab it today or not tomorrow, then Dadhichi Muni bathed those weapons with water while reciting the holy mantra to protect those weapons.
Then this holy water drank by Dadhichi , and all these weapons became simple and inferior and lost their power one by one in time. This was the reason for which the bones of Maharishi Dadhichi needed to kill Vritrasura.

Later the gods came and said to Dadhichi - ‘Muniver!  Great fear of enemies has come upon us.  Therefore, give the weapons that we had kept with you at this time. ”Dadhichi said -“ You have not come to take them for a long time. Therefore, in fear of the demons, I have drunk those weapons.  Now they are located in my body.  Therefore, whatever is appropriate, say it. ”Hearing this, the gods said to respectfully -“ Munishwar!  At this time, we can only say that to give weapons. ”The Brahmin said -“ All weapons have been absorbed in my bones.  So take those bones only. " At that time, the wife of Dadhichi, who spoke dear words, was not with him.  Gods were very afraid of her. Not seeing her, then gods said to Dadhichi- 'Viprawar!  Whatever you have to do, do it fast. ”Dadhichini, abandoning his life, said -“ Gods!  You happily take my body.  Take pleasure in my bones.  What job do I have for this body? ' Then sage Dadhichi gave up his life.

Seeing this, the gods said enthusiastically to Vishwakarma - "Now at this time you have to make many weapons ." Vishwakarma said - "Gods!  This is a Brahmin's body.  How do i use it. Then only his bones will be left, then I will make their weapon. ”Then the gods said to the cows -“ We make your tongue like Vajra.  For the sake of our interest, for the purpose of making weapons, remove skin of Dadhichi's body in a moment and get the pure bones. 'By the order of the gods, the cows did the same. They took bones by licking Dadhichi's body and gave it to the gods.  The gods went into own abode with enthusiasm and the cows also returned to their place.

When sage Atreya created heaven on earth.

When sage Atreya created heaven on earth.

Hello and Welcome friends

The creation of heaven on earth is strange to hear, but it is true, it is described in the Brahmapuran, which tells how sage Atreya created heaven on earth, let us know how and why it incident occured, and what happened after that.

According to story:-

Atreya was the son of Maharishi Atri.  Maharishi Atri Maharaja received wealth from Prithu and gave it to his sons and went to the Vanaprastha Ashram himself.  His son Atreya was living an ascetic life with his wife by building an ashram in Tapovan.

Once he went to Amravati, the capital of Devaloka with some sages and was stunned to see Indra's assembly in the splendid city of Amravati. So much opulence, splendor, beauty, amazing and wealth. After seeing all this and thinking about this, his mind got confused.  Comparing Indra in his life, he was distressed by the ascetic life of his Tapovan and he started thinking, "What is my life like disgusting. How is it going in the absence.  See the life of Indra in heaven, how magnificent it is and my life is that of a monastic ascetic ascetic. " Just like a beggar.

The seeds of jeolousy fascinated with desire grew in his mind.  Chanting and penance were forgotten when he returned.  There was only one concern as to how to get prosperity like Amravati. Stoicism and devotion had forgotten.  Now 24 hours, life's like Amravati and Indra started worrying.

Seeing his condition, his wife explained a lot that why have you fallen in love with wealth & prosperity, you are a sage?  Our own dharma-karma is superior.  It is painful to look others with jealousy .
But when nothing came to Atreya's mind, the wife said, "You go to the sage Twasta and tell him own sorrow."  He is very capable.  He can do anything with his Tapobal, if he will be happy, then by creating Amravati for you, he can even give you Indra's post. ”

A person suffering from desires has no conscience.  Atreya immediately went to the sage Twasta and told his wish, "Maharishi!  Please give me the opportunity to enjoy the same pleasure like heaven once with your Tapobal. "
Sage Twasta understood all thing that Atreya's mind would not calm down once he enjoyed the same happiness, so he said, "Instead of following the tradition of sage Atri, you started wishing for the glory of Indra.  Ok, I manage to fulfill your wish.  For you I create the opulence of Amravati. "

After being convinced, Atreya went.  When he came to his ashram, the scene there was changed.  It felt as like heaven had come down.  He forgot his tapovan and ascetic life. In the grandeur of heaven, he found himself as Indra & his wife got herself as Shachi form, and began to enjoy the happiness like as gods.

The demons came to know that another  Indra has also been born on the earth.  Amravati is settled.  The opulence  of heaven has also been there, so just the demons said that  we will have chance to conquer another heaven . Now we will defeat another Indra.

All the demons attacked Atreya's Amravati.  Indra of heaven was full of divine power.   He could face the demons.  Atreya was a  ascetic. So he did not knowledge of war skills and weapons?  He ran away as soon as demons were attacked.

Till some time ago, he was happy by enjoying the pleasure of heaven.  Now to save his life, he ran away with his wife to find a hiding place.  At last he did not find any shelter, then  again he run away and went to the sage Twashta and say, "Rishivar!  Life is under threat. If life will not exist now, what will opulence do to enjoy?  You remove this Amravati generated from your Tapobal.  I also saw the sadness of being Indra.  My hut was the best. "

The sage Twastha laughed and said, "Atreya!  Man has this tendency that he is not satisfied and happy with what he has. He is dissatisfied and unhappy to get what he does not have, but keep one thing in mind, the opulence and grandeur which is seen from outside, how much sorrow and tragedy is going to be seen from inside, thats does not  come to visible. Seeing the splendor of Indra, you fell in fascination, but when you saw him directly, you came to know that even in that happiness, he is always unhappy with the fear of the attack of his enemies. "

Then the sage Twashta immediately assimilated that heaven, and returned to his ashram with laughing, the demons also returned to Patalaloka(Hades), and Muni Atreya also resumed the ashram with his disciples and wife after learning the lesson. On seeing both aspects of happiness and sorrow, Atreya became enlightened and he became happy in an ascetic life.

**** At some places, there is also a description that on the insistence of Atreya, Vishwakarma created heaven on earth. The story is just like the first.  At the request of Atreya after the demon invasion, Vishwakarma assimilated the heaven of the earth.
