Karna an ultimate warrior whose life was always surrounded by struggles.

Karna an ultimate warrior whose life was always surrounded by struggles.

In the Mahabharata, as much as the main character was of Arjuna, so was Karna. Karna had to suffer throughout his life due to the curse and he did not get the respect, which was he deserved.  Despite being a Kshatriya, Karna spent his entire life as a Sudra and despite being older than Yudhisthara, Duryodhana, Karna had to bow in front of them.

The story of Karna's previous birth has been described in detail in the previous article.

Maharthi Danveer Karna was one of the best warriors of Mahabharata.  Despite being a Suryaputra and Kshatriya dynansty himself, he was called a lifelong Sutputra. Karna showcased his extraordinary talent in the Mahabharata. The quiver of Karna had such stores of arrows which were considered rare in the world.

Through the article presented, you all will be able to get complete information about Maharathi Karna.  All the information from his birth to his death is given in this article.  Under this article attempts to cover all the topics in which situation he is born, and in which humiliation he lives all his life. The story of Karna's education has also been written in this article.  How the Guru's curse finally succeeded in giving him death in battle's field.  A detailed description of all these events is available in this article - some remaining important facts will be mentioned in the next articles.

When it comes to charity, Karna's name is always taken first. Karna was such a donor, never let anyone who came to his door return disappointed. It can be gauged by his bravery.  He had armor & earrings in his body as his life. When Devraj Indra asked for the armor & earrings with deceit, Karna did not turn behind even knowing this deceit -

Karna was the only character in the Mahabharata who struggled throughout his life for his identity.  Karna was called Suta-Putra (son of charioteer) throughout his life, this poison of insult he was forced to drink for life. He kept taking the vow to prove himself to be the best archer for killing Arjuna throughout his life.  At the end, a warrior like Karna was distracted by the identity of his life and the real truth.

Krishna introduced Karna to its true identity before the start of the war.  Karna's life was nothing short of a storm. Karna gets to know his real parents. The person he remains determined to kill, is none other than his younger brother Arjuna. In the life of Karna, to pay the value of his benevolence on him and to fulfill his duty to the truth, there is a deep conflict between the two in his whole life.  Karna was a real great warrior and Kshatriya blood was flowing in his body. He was never going to back down from paying his duty and the benevolence. Knowing the truth, Karna supported Duryodhana the idol of untruth, because Karna was suppressed by the benevolence of Duryodhana.  Karna's charity valor was far superior to his war valor.  Karna's name is taken with great respect in the charity valor. See the greatness of charity valor of Karna, knowing that Indra has come to ask for his life in form as a Brahmin.  Even without delay, he donated his life as form armor-earrings to Devendra. There is any one such donor found in the one era.

Although Karna's image was tarnished due to the insulting of Draupadi and his negative role in Abhimanyu slaughter, but overall Karna is considered a great charity valor and a great warrior.

**** The story of Karna's birth ****

Karna is one of the heroic warriors of Mahabharata.  Whose identity is mention in puranas by that of a great warrior and a donor.  According to various beliefs, he was born as a boon by "Kunti" .
Princess Kunti was very calm, simple and polite in nature.  Hearing the news of Maharishi Durvasa's arrival in her kingdom, Princess Kunti decided to welcome, greet and serve to him and got engaged in this task with mind, word and karma. Maharishi Durvasa spent a long time in the Kunti's kingdom and as long as he lived there, Princess Kunti was always present in his service. Maharishi Durvasa was very pleased with her service spirit and gave a mantra to the princess Kunti "as a boon" and said that every gods will comes when she chant this mantra with the name of gods. As a result she will get the son and the qualities of that gods in that son. "  After this, Maharishi Durvasa departed from Kunti's kingdom.

According to the Puranas, Maharishi Durvasa had the power to see the future and he knew that Princess Kunti would be married to Maharaj Pandu of Kuru dynansty and he would never become a father due to curse from a sage. Keeping this future event in mind, Maharishi Durvasa gave that type of boon to the princess Kunti in such a way that she could give successor to the Kuru dynansty. At the time when Maharishi Durvasa gave this boon to Princess Kunti, at that time she was not mature and due to this she was not so intelligent. Therefore, she wanted to test the boon received by Maharishi Durvasa and she started chanting the mantra in the name of Suryadeva and in a few moments a child appeared in the lap of princess Kunti. And as Mahirishi Durvasha had given a boon that a son born in this way would have the qualities of that deity, this child was also born with glory similar to Lord Surya.  Thus, child Karna was born.  Thus Karna's mother was Kunti and father was Suryadeva.

**** Deciding to abandon Karna by Princess Kunti ****

At the time when Karna was born, Princess Kunti was unmarried and being a son without marriage, she became worried about the prestige & honor of herself, her father, her entire family , prestige of the her kingdom. And thus she started praying for the return of the son born from Suryadeva. At the same time, she was also worried about her virginity .  Then Lord Surya assured Kunti that thus the birth of a son would not harm her virginity because Suryadeva is not the biological father of this son. But he could not take this son back because he was bound by the boon given by Maharishi Durvasa and was also compelled to fulfill the boon.  In this situation, Princess Kunti decided to renounce the son due to fear of disgrace. But she was worried for his safety because of her son's affection.  For this reason, she prayed to Suryadeva to protect her son, then Suryadeva provided impenetrable armor and earrings in his body, which were part of this child's body, for the protection of his son. Due to these earrings, this child was named Karna.

When Princess Kunti became convinced of the safety of her son Karna, she put her newborn child born in a basket with great grief and shed it in the river Ganga. In this way while flowing the basket reached the town of Hastinapur and where Maharaja Dhritarashtra's charioteer Adhirath and his wife Radha were washing clothes along the river.  At the same time, they saw a basket flowing and brought it out of the river. Where they saw a little boy crying, the couple was overjoyed and decided to adopt him.  Due to which he was named VasusenaAdhirath and his wife 'Radha' adopted this child with great affection and nurtured this child as their son and thus the child Karna received parents and faced this struggle as soon as Karna was born . This boy became famous by the name of Sutputra and Radheya.

**** Karna's education ****

Radheya (Karna) was born with divine qualities from birth.  Radheya was completely different from the normal children, he had talent that is not found in other children.  The toy of this child was bow and arrow. This child had a desire to become the biggest archer in the future.  Parents were helpless, they could not provide all the facilities for this child, which the prince used to get. Karna was no less than a prince for his parents. This was the reason that Adhirath had retired from royal service to take care of Radheya.  Adhirath did not want to let any kind of deficiency in the upbringing of his son.  He wanted to arrange for good education for Radheya.  For this purpose, he took Radheya to Guru Dronacharya's ashram. Karna was well versed in war's skill since adolescence.  Like his father, he was more interested in war's skill than in chariots.  One day his father Adhirath took him to Guru Dronacharya, one of the best valiant warriors of the time. Guru Drona used to teach only to the princes of the Kuru dynasty.  As a result, he refused to teach Sutputra Karna, because Karna was the son of a charioteer and Drona used to teach Kshatriyas only. After which Karna decided that he would become more knowledgeable than these Kshatriyas, for which he went to Dronacharya's Guru the great Shiva's devotee lord Parashuramaji. At that time Parashurama used to teach only Brahmin . He was in dilema if Parshurama refuse to teach him , after thinking this Karna lied to Parshurama that he is a Brahmin.
Parshuram gave him a very thorough education. One day when Karna's education was about to end, he urged his guru to rest on his lap, at that time a scorpion came and bitten Karna in the leg, Karna did not move because he felt that if he would move then Guru will get up. When Parashurama woke up, he saw that Karna's foot was soaked in blood, then he told him that a Brahmin could never bear this much pain, you are definitely a Kshatriya.

Karna did not even know his own truth, but Parshuram was very angry with him and in anger  Parshurama cursed that he would forget everything whenever he needed the knowledge given by him the most.

**** Karna's married life ****

While unmarried, Kunti gave birth to Karna.  He did not accept Karna to avoid the stigma of society.  Karna was nurtured by a charioteer, due to which Karna came to be called Sutputra. His father Adhirath, who adopted Karna, wanted Karna to marry.  In order to fulfill the father's wish, Karna married a Sutputri named Rushali.  Karna's second wife's name was Supriya.  Supriya is not mentioned much in the Mahabharata story.

Somewhere Supriya's name has been mentioned as Padmavati .... The information of Karna's wives will be given through the upcoming article.

Karna had nine sons from Rushali and Supriya.  Vrishsen, Vrishketu, Chitrasen, Satyasen, Sushen, Shatrunjaya, Dwipat, Prasen and Bansena.  All the sons of Karna participated in the war of Mahabharata, 8 of which were killed in battle field. Vrishketu was the only son who survived.  After Karna's death, his wife Rushali had become Sati in his funeral pyre.  After the war of Mahabharata, when the Pandavas came to know that Karna was their eldest, they entrusted the throne of Indraprastha to Karna's surviving son Vrishketu.  Vrishketu also fought many wars under the patronage of Arjuna.

**** Friendship with duryodhana ****

Through Guru Dronacharya, Kauravas and Pandavas had received all the education in Gurukul.  Rangbhoomi (royal battle field) was organized to function to show their education's talent in the kingdom.  In Rangbhoomi, the society and the royal family could see the education of war's skill of their prince, the introduction of their skills. As it happened, Rangbhoomi was prepared. king Dhritarashtra, Vidur, Pitamah Bhishma and people of all the royal families and society came to their respective places in the Rangbhoomi.

According to the Puranas, when Guru Drona organized a war-fighting competition in Hastinapur, Arjuna was honored as a special archer in that competition. At the same time Karna comes there and he does the battle skills done by Arjuna well and challenges Arjuna for the war. He wanted to prove himself to be the best archer than Arjuna.  That's when Kripacharya, present in the royal battle field, cancels Karna's intervention and asks him about dynasty and empire - because according to competition , only a king could challenge a prince. When Karna says that he is a Sutputra, then everyone makes fun of him, Bhima insults him a lot.  This thing hurts Karna in the heart, and this is the reason for Karna to stand against Arjuna.  Duryodhana sees this and takes advantage of the opportunity. At the same time, Duryodhana in the Kauravas came to know that a Karna is the only warrior who can defeat Arjuna.  Hence, Duryodhana declares Karna as the king of Angadesh so that Karna becomes eligible for competition . After that Karna asked Duryodhana what you want instead, Duryodhana replied, I want your friendship.  Due to which the two became close friends of each other. Despite knowing that Duryodhana is an idol of falsehood & sinful, Karna never left Duryodhana.  This is where Duryodhana and Karna became close friends. After this incident, some of the main relations of Mahabharata were established, such as strong ties between Duryodhana and Karna, intense rivalry between Karna and Arjuna and disharmony between the Pandavas and Karna.
Duryodhana was the older than of the other 100 Kauravas.  Duryodhana was very much disgusted with his cousin Padavas, he did not want the throne of Hastinapura to get even older Pandu son Yudhisthara. Duryodhana believed in Karna very much, he trusted him more than himself.  After their friendship, the two used to spend most of their time together. If we talk about Mahabharata, whenever the name of friendship comes, then we miss Krishna and Sudama or Arjuna and Krishna's friendship.  But there is also a friendly couple whose friendship looks no less than anywhere. That is the friendship of Duryodhana and Karna. It is of course that both stand in favor of wrongdoing, but that does not diminish the importance of friendship between them.  Many peoples may object to Duryodhana saying that he made Karna the king of Angadesh so that he would have a warrior equivalent to Arjuna. May be it is right, but both of them kept that friendship throughout their life.  There are many stories of friendship between the two, but the incident we are going to tell today certainly proves how much Duryodhana had faith in Karna. There was a good friendship between Karna's wife Vrishali and Duryodhana's wife Bhanumati.  Karna's second wife Supriya was also Bhanumati's friend.  It is also described that when Bhanumati did not select Duryodhana in her swayamvara, Duryodhana kidnapped her on the strength of his friend Karna. Karna defeated all the kings present so that Duryodhana could get out safely with Bhanumati. It is said to have Bhanumati learn  wrestling with her husband Duryodhana and also archery from Karna. Well the subject of Bhanumati will be explained in more detail sometime.  This means that there was a very good friendship between Karna and Bhanumati as well.
Once Duryodhana, Karna and Bhanumati were having a conversation sitting in Duryodhana's room.  At the same time, Duryodhana left from there when he was called from the royal court. Karna and Bhanumati started playing Chausar's game to spend time. Luckily Bhanumati was winning repeatedly in that game and was also teasing Karna for losing. But Karna was betting again and again, not minding her words.  Ultimately, a win over fate led to Karna winning. At the same time Bhanumati heard the footsteps of Duryodhana coming back and she started to rise to welcome him. Karna was in engage with his victory, so he had no idea of Duryodhana's arrival. He felt that Bhanumati wanted to quit the game after he won. Thinking this, he tried to hold Bhanumati's hand and put him back. But in haste, her sari came  Karna's hand in despite of Bhanumati's hand. This pulled her sari somewhat and all the pearls in it were scattered on the earth.

Just then Duryodhana entered the room.  At that time the scene there was a bit suspicious. Karna had Bhanumati's sari in his hands and the entire floor was filled with beads broken by his garland.  In such a situation, anyone could have suspected both of them. Now both of them had no blood in body like that. Apart from God, only Karna and Bhanumati knew that nothing had gone wrong, but after seeing such a scene, they could not understand what they said to Duryodhana. Bhanumati then closed his eyes in fear and Karna also bowed with shame.  They both stood in the same way.

Here we see a different form of Duryodhana. There is no need to say anything about his benevolent nature as he has many other examples.  But here a different level of his generosity is seen. Duryodhana loved his wife and believed in her completely.  And Karna was like his second soul for him. He could not even think of doubting them. He had so much faith in his friend and wife that even when he saw both of them in that situation, he did not even have a slight doubt on both of them.  On the contrary, when he saw that due to this Karna and Bhanumati were being embarrassed by shame, he said with a laugh - "Oh dear! What is this? All your pearls have been shattered. Will you pick it up yourself or may I help you?"  "

Duryodhana asks Karna on what you both are fighting, when he finds out the reason, he laughs a lot.  After this, Bhanumati asks Duryodhana why you have not doubted me, then Duryodhana says that there should be no scope for doubt in the relationship, if doubt comes, the relationship starts to end.  I have full faith in Karna, he will never break my faith. He said this as if nothing had happened.  When both of them saw this generosity of Duryodhana, they came to know about this both have confidence .  After this incident, respect for Duryodhana increased in the minds of both of them.  This incident shows that where there is true love and faith there is no place for doubt.

Karna was definitely a brave warrior. He was counted in the best archer of the world.  When Duryodhana was declared the king of Angadesh, he was now a Kshatriya. Angaraja expanded the range of Angadesh by introducing his war's skill. One by one, he conquered all the kingdoms of the earth and put them at the feet of Duryodhana.  No king was ignorant of Karna's valor and his courage.  Countless kings did not think it appropriate to take enmity with Karna, handed over their crown to Karna. The king who did not recognize Karna's power and his valor. He himself extended an invitation to his death.By doing this, Angaraja conquered almost all the kingdoms of the earth and handed over to his friend Duryodhana.

**** Karna's character ****

Karna was a liberal and Danavir warrior.  Due to which he used to worship the Suryadeva every day.  Keeping faith in the belief, Karna used to perform every ritual in the dharma.  Tales of his valor still exist in various Puranas.  After becoming the king of Angadesh, Karna used to donate wealth after worshiping the Suryadeva. 3 people gained a lot of fame in Hindu religious texts because of their donor nature.  They are: Bali the king of demons, King Harishchandra and Karna.  His name is always taken for helping others, in courage, in his charity valor, for selfless spirit and for his valor.

Once Arjuna asks Krishna, why do you call Yudhisthara as Dharmaraja and Karna as Danveer, then Krishna goes to both of them in a Brahmin form with Arjuna to answer this. First they go to Yudhishthar and ask for dry sandalwood to burn.  At that time it is raining a lot, Yudhistar searches for a lot of places around him but he does not find any dry wood, after which he apologizes to both of them and leaves them empty-handed. After this they go to Karna, and ask for the same thing.  Karna also seeks dry sandalwood everywhere but cannot find it either.  Karna did not want to let the Brahmin go empty-handed from his house, then he breaks the door made of sandal wood with his bow - arrow and gives it to them.  This shows that Karna was a very big donor.

Although Mahabali Karna made many alms, but the description of two important alms of his life are as follows:----

Alms given to Devraj Indra:---

According to the Puranas, Karna used to give the desired alms to the suitor who came to him every day, it was included in his daily routine.  During the war of Mahabharata, after his bath and worship, he started alms to the suitor as usual.  Then Devraj Indra changed his form and joined them as a sage in those the suitor. And he asked for Karna's armor and earrings as alms and Karna separated his armor and earrings from his body without worrying about his life and gave it to him as alms.
The important thing in this context was that Mahabali Karna had already come to know from his father Suryadeva that Devraj Indra would come to ask for the alms of armor and earrings in such a way with the fascination of his son Arjuna's life.  And Lord Surya forbade his son Karna to give him this alms due to his son's fascination. But Karna thus refused to return the suitor empty handed and, despite knowing everything, donated his armor and earrings happily.

Gave alms to his mother Kunti:---

Karna also gave abhyadana(self-conduct) to his mother and Maharani Kunti, the mother of Pandu's sons.  That is, he gave a promise to Queen Kunti that "she will always be the mother of five sons, out of all her sons, either Arjuna will die or Karna will be killed himself and he will not kill the other four sons of Queen Kunti.  " In keeping with his promise, he did not kill any Pandu's son even when he got many opportunity in the war and gave vivification to them.
There is hardly any donor like Karna, many short stories have been discussed about Karna's charity valor.  Once Shri Krishna was praising Karna's charity valor in Indraprasta's court. Arjuna was also present at the court at that time, he could not bear the praise of Karna's charity valor by lord Krishna.  Lord Krishna looked at Arjuna and within a moment, got to know Arjuna's mood.  Shri Krishna decided to make Arjuna aware of Karna's charity valor.
According to the first story, when the yagna was completed in Indraprastha and Maharaj Yudhishthira offered his treasury in charity, the Pandu's sons became proud that more than we that no donor has yet been born on this earth. When Arjuna said this to Krishna, Lord Krishna suggested to take the test in the form of a monk, to break their pride, to ask for alms and see who is the greatest donor between Yudhishthira and karna.  Arjuna accepted Krishna's proposal. Both disguised as sages first approached Yudhishthira and asked him to dry sandalwood as a alms.  Yudhishthira said that it is the rainy season and all the sandalwood trees in his garden are wet.  Having said this, he expressed his inability to donate.  After this, Arjun and Krishna approached karna and asked him to dry sandalwood for the yagna. Karna immediately went inside and broke the doors-windows which were made of sandalwood of the palace with his bow-arrows and handed them over to the sage Krishna and Arjuna. After this incident, Arjun's pride got destroyed and he understood that a great donor has not been born on this earth than Karna .

According to second story, once Krishna and Arjuna were walking towards a village.  Arjuna was taunting Krishna, asking why Karna should be considered a role model for all charity and not himself.  Krishna, to teach him a lesson, turned the mountains near them along the path into gold. Krishna said that Arjuna distributes these two mountains of gold among the villagers, but you have to donate all the gold.  Arjuna goes to the village, and declares that he is going to donate gold to every villager, and asks them to gather near the mountain. For two days and two consecutive nights, Arjuna cut gold from the mountain and donated it to each village.  But the mountain did not shrink even a little bit. Most of the villagers returned and lined up within minutes.  After a while, Arjuna, feeling got tired, but not yet ready to give up his ego, Krishna said that he would not be able to go so far without rest. Krishna called Karna. He told Karna that you have to donate every part of every mountain.  Karna called villagers and told them that you see those two mountains, the mountains of gold belong to youall today. Arjun was sitting quietly.  Krishna smiled mischievously and said that Arjuna, you were attracted by the gold, you regretfully gave it to the people of each village, people do not have to speak good or bad about them behind their backs.

According to the third story, the war of Mahabharata was going on.  After sunset, all were in their respective camps.  On that day Arjun defeated Karna and happy with his arrogance.  He boasted of his valor and began to despise Karna.  Seeing this, Shri Krishna said - 'Parth!  Karna is Suryaputra. Only after receiving his armor and earrings in charity by Devraj Indra, you could win, otherwise it was not under anyone's control to defeat him.  Apart from being brave, he is also Danavir.  Hearing Karna's charity valor, Arjuna argued and started ignoring him.

Sri Krishna understood the mood of Arjuna.  He said in a calm voice - 'Partha!  Karna is lying injured on the battlefield.  If you want, you can test his charity valor. ”Arjun agreed to Shri Krishna.  Both reached him as a Brahmin form.  Even after being injured, Karna bowed to the Brahmins and asked the purpose of coming there. Shri Krishna said - 'Rajan!  Hail thee.  We have come here to receive alms.  Please fulfill our wish. ”Karna said a bit ashamed -‘ Brahmin Dev!  I am injured in the battlefield.  All my soldiers have been killed.  Death awaits me.  What can I give you at this stage? '

Rajan!  Does this mean that we should return empty handed?  But this will tarnish your fame.  The world will remember you as a unrighteous king. ”They started returning saying this.  Then Karna said - 'stop Brahmadev!  I do not wish for fame and popularity , but I do not want to die after being alienated from my dharma.  So, I will definitely fulfill your wish. '

Karna had two teeth made of gold.  He broke them with a nearby stone and said - 'Brahmin Dev!  I have always donated gold (gold).  Therefore, you should accept these golden teeth. ”Shrikrishna refused and said,“ Rajan!  There is blood on these teeth and you have removed them from the mouth.  Therefore this golden teeth is defiled. We will not accept defiled gold. ”Then Karna flipped over to his bow and raised an arrow on it to remember the Ganges.  After that, the arrow struck the ground.  As soon as arrows hit the ground, a strong stream of Ganga flowed from there.  Karna washed the teeth in it and giving it to them said - ‘Brahmins!  Now this gold is pure. Please accept it. ”Then started showering flowers on Karna.  Lord Krishna and Arjuna appeared in their true form.  Astonished Karna, while praising Lord Shri Krishna said - 'Lord!  I was blessed after seeing your appearance.  All my sins are destroyed, Lord!  You are the welfare of the devotees.  Please be kind to me too. Then Shrikrishna while blessing him said - 'Karna!  As long as the sun, moon, stars and earth remain, your charity will be praised in the three worlds.  A great donor like you has neither happened in the world, nor will it ever happen.  Now you will attain salvation.  Seeing Karna's charity valor and piety, Arjun too bowed before him.

Thus, he is called Danavir Karna due to his supreme donor nature.

**** The war between Jarasandh and Karna ****

Karna assisted Kalinga's queen Bhanumati into marrying Duryodhana when Duryodhana kidnaps the princess during the swayamvara.  At that time Karna fought the war with the soldiers.  In which Karna defeated the great rulers of Bhishmaka, Vakra, Kapotaraman, Neela, Rukmi, Shringa, Ashoka, Satdhanwan, etc. After that King Jarasandha of Magadha challenged Karna to battle.  This led to a wrestling between Karna and Jarasandha, in which Karna defeated Jarasandha.  After being defeated by Karna, Jarasandha presented Karna as a Malini kingdom.  Karna became very popular with that victory.  After sitting on the throne of Malini state, Karna took an oath that no person would go empty handed from my court.

**** The beginning of enmity with the Pandavas ****

He was never in favor of defeating the Pandavas through the tactics of deception employed by Shakuni.  Because of which he was always in favor of war.  He always urged Duryodhana to defeat the Pandavas by battle.  Due to which he joined the game of Chaucer to appease Duryodhana, due to which the incident of Draupadi's vastraharna was transformed. The state of Hastinapur was partitioned and part of Khandavprastha was given to the Pandavas.  It was a land of jungle trees.  Here the Pandavas established Indraprastha kingdom with their hard work.  The fame of this state was far and wide.  Duryodhana himself had not seen this type palace anywhere else before this.  In his mind, devious tricks began to expand. He was always jealous of the Pandavas.  He could not tolerate this kind of splendor. The devious tricks of Shakuni, the maternal uncle of Duryodhana, always lived with him.

The reception of the Pandavas was held in Hastinapur.  All the Pandavas came to Hastinapur on the orders of their eldest father, Shri Dhritarashtra.  A gaming game was organized here, in which Mama Shakuni, on behalf of Duryodhana, conquered the Pandavas with his dice. Duryodhana called Draupadi in the royal court using force of duress to avenge his insults.  Draupadi called upon everyone to defend her honor in the royal court.

No one appeared to help her.

Duryodhana - Dushasana was continuously uttering derogatory words to Draupadi.

Sometimes maid, sometime loquacious, characterless, five husbands holder etc.

Karna always opposed Duryodhana's wrongdoings.  Today his tongue did not support him.  Karna's brain had lost its conscience.  He also joined Duryodhana's treachery under ignorance.  A brave warrior like Karna also used to say derogatory words to Draupadi as a prostitute.

Because of insulting the woman by himself, Karna was insulted throughout his life.  He kept on burning throughout his life in the fire of repentance.  Karna could never understand how his tongue insulted a woman?  Due to this guilt, he could never stand in front of Draupadi. After that Bhima took a vow that he alone would kill Duryodhana and all his brothers in battle.  Then Arjuna vowed to kill Karna.

**** Karna's love affair with Draupadi ****

According to various sources, many popular stories related to the Mahabharata are also found, one of which is the "Jambul Chapter" in which Draupadi reveals her secret .  Draupadi was the wife of the five Pandavas, but she did not love her five husbands, she loved Arjuna the most. But Arjuna on the other hand did not love Draupadi, because he loved Krishna's sister Subhadra.  According to a popular legend, when the Pandavas suffered the brunt of exile, at the time of the 12th year, Draupadi saw a bunch of  black berries on tree and she breaking it.  As soon as Draupadi broke the bunch, Lord Krishna reached there. Lord Krishna told that a sage was about to break his 12-year fast by consuming this fruit.  Since you have broken this fruit now, the Pandavas will fall prey to the wrath of that sage.  Hearing this, the Pandavas sought help from Shri Krishna.
On saying this, Lord Krishna told the Pandavas that for this, everyone has to go under the tree and speak only the truth.  Only then the fruit can be replanted in its place, on saying this, Shri Krishna placed the fruit under the tree and called everyone in turn. First of all, Sri Krishna called Yudhishthira, while speaking the truth, Yudhishthira said that "Truth, honesty, tolerance should prevail in the world, while dishonesty and wickedness should be annihilated."  Not only this, Yudhishthira blamed Draupadi for the undesirable events that happened to the Pandavas.  After Yudhishthira told the truth, the fruit came two feet above the ground.
After that Bhima was asked to speak and was warned by Shri Krishna that "If you lied, the fruit will be burnt to ashes."  At the same time Bhima accepted the truth in front of everyone, saying that he is never less attuned to food, war, sleep and sexual desire and he vows to kill all the sons of Dhritarashtra.  After this the fruit goes two feet and up.
Now it was Arjun's turn, Arjun said that "I like prestige and fame a lot and unless I kill Karna in battle, the purpose of my life will not be fulfilled."  For this I can go to any extent.  Even if I have to go against dharma. ”On saying this, the fruit is raised a bit more.
After Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadev also did not hide any secret.  Finally, Draupadi's turn came, with Draupadi stating the truth that "I am the gyanendri (eye, ear, nose, mouth and body) of my five husbands".  But I am the reason for the misfortune of all of them and am regretting my actions without any thought. But even after Draupadi said all this, the fruit did not go up, then Shri Krishna said that Draupadi is hiding a secret.  Draupadi then looked at her husbands and said - I love all five of you, but I also love a 6th man and he is Karna.  One who regrets not getting married due to caste.  If I had married Karna, I probably would not have had to suffer so much nor go through such bitter experiences.
It is difficult for me to say anything about the truth of this story.  Well, in the folklore, the love affair between Draupadi and Karna will be informed in the next article of the blog.

**** The beginning of the end of Karna's life ****

According to mythology, Arjuna's father and Devraj Indra came to know that Karna can not be defeated in the battlefield as long as he had his armor and earrings, which were on his body since birth.  So when the great war of Kurukshetra started, Indra made a plan and vowed that he would not allow Karna to enter the battlefield with armor and earrings. When Karna is worshiping Suryadeva in the mid-day, then at that time, he will ask for armor and earrings from Karna by becoming a beggar.  Suryadev also warns Karna about this plan of Indra, but he thanks him and says that if anyone asks for his life at that time, he will not refuse.  Then Suryadev says that if he is committed , then he should ask Amoghastra from Indra. Then, according to his plan, Devraja Indra, wearing the appearance of a beggar, asks Karna for armor and earrings .  Even after receiving the warning, Karna does not refuse and with happily donates his armor-earrings . Pleased at this charity valority of Karna, he told him to ask for something, but Karna says that "it is against the dignity of charity" and refuses to ask for something after donating.  After hearing this much, Indra gives his powerful weapon Vasavi to Karna, which he could use only once.  After this, Karna got another name Vaikartana.

Shri Krishna came to Hastinapur as the last peace messenger from the Pandavas.  He tried very hard to avoid this potential war by taking all measures.  Duryodhana and his father Dhritarashtra were ambitious.  Both did not pay special attention to the words of Shri Krishna.  In the end, Shri Krishna demanded five villages on behalf of the Pandavas.  Duryodhana disregarded Shri Krishna, saying that he did not even give land with the tip of a needle.

Returning disappointed from the court meant that the war was certain .  Now the armies were yet to come face to face in Kurukshetra.  While on the way back to the Pandavas, Shri Krishna meets Karna on the way.

Krishna talks to Karna, telling him the difference between real dharma and unrighteousness. Karna was already knowing, is Sri Krishna in favor of dharma, and himself in favor of unrighteousness.  He is standing on the wrong side of himself, knowing that. Then he previously decided first to fight on behalf of Duryodhana. Karna was under the influence of Duryodhana.  The true Kshatriya always obeys any word and favor, even if he dies.  Karna was also committed to Duryodhana.  For whatever way Duryodhana lived, Karna's soul would always be present.

Krishna told the introduction of Karna's real parents. Kunti identified her son Karna by seeing him in the Rangbhoomi.  Karna was born with the divine armor - earrings, which was his identity. But due to fear and shame, she never revealed to Karna from being his mother. When Shri Krishna told Kunti that he had told all things about you to Karna. Kunti mustered up courage and goes to his camp to meet Karna.

Kunti tries to convince her eldest son Karna in many ways.  He should not take up arms against his brothers.  Fight in favor of your brothers for their insults and justice. Karna could not do anything at the behest of Mata Kunti.Karna was helpless, he was suppressed by the benevolence of Duryodhana.

Duryodhana supported Karna at a time when he was being ridiculed in Rangbhoomi as a Sutputra.  Duryodhana was the one who made him his friend and declared him the king of Angadesh. Karna had since become indebted to Duryodhana.  His life was under Duryodhana.  No matter how devious tricks done by Duryodhana ,  he walked on the path of untruth, Karna's life had to be followed on path of Duryodhana. Karna narrated his compulsion to Mother Kunti.

Hearing Karna's words, Kunti's heart was distressed and she said, 'Son!  You are not 'Radheya' rather 'you are Kauntaieya'.  I am your mother but I abandoned you for fear of ethos.  You are the eldest brother of the Pandavas.  That is why in this war you should live with your brothers, not with the Kauravas. I do not want brothers to be at war with each other.  I want you to be on the side of the Pandavas.  Being the eldest brother, you are the eligible of the kingdom of Pandavas.  I wish you could become king by winning the war. ' Karna responded, 'O mother!  You had abandoned me, even after being born in the best dynansty of Kshatriyas, I am called Sutputra.  Dronacharya did not accept to be my guru due to being called Sutputra despite being a Kshatriya.  Yuvraj Duryodhana is my true friend.  I cannot be ungrateful by forgetting his benevolence. But your visit to me will not go in vain because till date no one has ever left empty hands from Karna.  I promise you that I will not kill any of your sons except Arjuna. The battle between me and Arjuna is inevitable and one of us is certain to die in that war.  I promise that you will remain the mother of five sons. ”Kunti returned with a distressed heart after listening to Karna and blessing him.

Mata Kunti's motherhood could not deviate Karna's from his duty.  Frustrated, Kunti returned to the palace .

Despite being Karna & Arjuna brother, both were very big enemies among themselves.  Both had a lot of knowledge and education, both considered themselves better than each other.  Krishna had told Karna to becoming the king of Bharatvarsha , because Karna was older than both Yudhishthira and Duryodhana.  But Karna rejected this thing of Krishna. Karna had help Kaurava's to killed Arjuna's son Abhimanyu in the Chakravyuh of Mahabharata, both Krishna and the Pandavas were very angry also Karna himself was very sad because he knew that Abhimanyu was his brother's son.  When Karna Arjuna's war took place, both Krishna and Indra helped Arjuna. During the battle, when one wheel of Karna's chariot gets stuck in the earth (due to curse of Pruithvi Devi).  He then becomes unable to use his divine weapons, as was the curse of his guru Parashurama.  At that time Karna comes down to out the wheel of his chariot and urges Arjuna to stop firing the arrow for a while, following the rules of war. Then Shri Krishna told Arjuna that “Karna has no right to talk about war's rules and dharma now.  Because at the time of the slaughter of Abhimanyu, Karna also did not follow any war rules and dharma.  Where did Karna's dharma go when he called the divine-born (Draupadi was born from Havanakund) Draupadi as Vaishya(prostitute) in front of the entire Kuru royal court. " Hearing this, Arjuna said that Karna is still helpless (according to the curse of the Brahmin), so he will not shoot the arrow.  Then Shri Krishna said to Arjuna that if Karna is not killed at this critical time, then the Pandavas will probably never be able to kill him and this war will never be won. Then, Arjuna beheaded Karna using a divine arrow.  After Karna's body falls to the ground, a divine light emerges from Karna's body and is entered into Sutyadeva. Arjun avenges the death of his son Abhimanyu from Karna.
Before the battle of Kuruchhetra begins, Krishna tells Karna that he is older than the Pandavas, from which he is the rightful heir of the kingdom, not Yudhishthira.  Krishna tells that he is the son of Kunti and Suryadeva.  Krishna tells him to support the Pandavas, but Karna refuses this due to true friendship and loyalty to Duryodhana. According to Krishna, there is only Karna in the entire Mahabharata, who did not leave dharma till the end and follow the path of dharma.  Karna was killed in the hands of Arjun due to his wrong attitude, his entire life was destroyed in sacrifice & jeoulosy.  Karna knew from the beginning that Duryodhana was following the wrong path, he also knew that the Kauravas would lose this war, but due to the promise given to Duryodhana that "he will never leave him", Karna remained with Duryodhana till the end of his life and was the commander of his army.
Karna was killed at the hands of Arjun, when Kunti came to know about this, she came to the battle site weeping.  The Pandavas were surprised to see why their mother is mourning so much when the enemy dies.  Kunti tells them that Karna is the eldest brother of them all, Yudhishthira on hearing this, speaks very bitter words to his mother, then Krishna explains the whole thing to the Pandavas.  Arjun is very sad to kill his elder brother, he also repenting of it.
In the Mahabharata, the life of Danveer Karna has always been surrounded by sorrows.  There are sorrows in Karna's life from birth to death. Karna received curses and this curses violent his life , the curses led to Karna's death. Now it is necessary to discuss the curses which is received by Karna, without which this article would seem incomplete.
Karna wanted to become an archer since childhood, but being a sutputra, no one taught him.  When he goes to Guru Dronacharya to learn archeiry, he also refuses to give him knowledge of archeiry because he is a sutputra. Due to this Karna is disappointed and reaches Lord Parashurama, but Lord Parashurama also used to teach only to Brahmins.  Now that Karna wanted to learn the archiery by any means, he lies to Lord Parashurama that he is a Brahmin.  Lord Parashurama also considers Karna as a Brahmin and teaches him.
When Karna's education is about to end, then one day his guru Lord Parshuram is resting in the afternoon with his head on Karna's thigh.  After a while there comes a scorpion, which bites on Karna's thigh.  Now Karna thinks that if he tried to remove remove scorpion, Guru Parashurama's sleep would be disturbed . Therefore, he lets the scorpion sting him instead of removing it.  Karna suffers from the pain of scorpion stings for a long time.  Then, after some time Guru Parashurama wakes up from sleep, he sees that Karna's thigh is bleeding.  Seeing this, Lord Parshuram angrily says, "Such tolerance capacity can only be in a Kshatriya. You have gained knowledge by lying to me, so I curse you that whenever you need most of your learning, it will not work. ”Disappointed Karna tells his guru that he is not himself knows which dynansty and clan he belongs to.  In such a situation, he tells all things to his guru Parashurama.  After knowing this, Lord Parashurama regrets cursing, but the curse given could not be taken back. Therefore, he gives his Vijay Dhanusha as a boon to Karna and blessed him that he will get what he wants most - indelible fame.  It is believed in some folklore that Indra himself was in the form of scorpion, who wanted to reveal his true Kshatriya identity.  After this, Karna departs from the ashram of Lord Parshuram.
A few years after this incident, one day Karna is following a tyrannical demon in the forest.  He shoots the arrow to kill the demon, but the demon suddenly disappears and  arrow arrives at a cow trapped in the swamp.  The cow dies there due to an arrow.  The owner of that cow is a Brahmin, who curses Karna right there on seeing the plight of the cow.  In the curse, the Brahmin says that just as you have killed a helpless cow, in the same way one day you too will die.
According to the folk tales of Andhra Pradesh, once Karna was going somewhere, then on the way he found a girl who was crying due to ghee being shattered from her pit.  When Karna wanted to know the reason for his anxiety, she told that she feared that his stepmother would be angry at her inattentiveness. Gracious Karna then told her that he will bring her new ghee.  Then the girl insisted that she should have the same ghee which is mixed in the soil and she refused to take the new ghee.  Then, taking pity on the girl, Karna took the clay containing the ghee in his fist and started squeezing it so that the ghee separate from the soil and fell into the pitcher.
During this process, he heard the painful sound of a woman with his hand.  When he opened his fist, he found Pruithvi Devi. Enraged by the pain, Dharti Mata criticized Karna and said that he gave so much pain for a girl's ghee. And then Dharti Mata cursed Karna that one day in a decisive battle of his life, she will also hold the wheel of his chariot as he has caught her in his fist, so that he will vulnerable to his enemy in that war.
Thus, Karna received three curses on three separate occasions.  Unfortunately, these three curses flourished in the decisive battle of Kurukshetra, when he became unarmed, chariotless, and helpless in battle.
Karna forgot to operate the Brahmastra due to the curse of Guru Parashurama, otherwise he surely operated his own Brahmastra to killed Arjuna in the battle, and Arjuna also used his Brahmastra to protect himself, and the whole earth would be destroyed.  Thus Guru Parshuram cursed Karna and averted the destruction of the earth.
The curse of  Earth was that in the most decisive battle of Karna's life, the earth would hold the wheel of his chariot.  In the battle of that day Karna used different chariots, but each time the wheel of his chariot got smashed into the earth.  Therefore, Karna could not escape the curse of Earth even by using different chariots, otherwise slaughter of Karna was very difficult. And you all know that all these curses came in a decisive battle in front of Karna while fighting Arjuna and due to these curses, Karna had to sacrifice his life. In this way, the life of Karna teaches us indomitable courage, charity valor, duty, commitment and always walking in the path of dharma.  Along with this, there is a message to choose the right path for life and beware of the association of the wicked person.
The war of Mahabharata was fought in Dwapara Yuga.  The Maharishi gave the whole incident the form of a Sanskrit epic.  This epic contains many inspiring stories.  These stories teach children to follow dharma and karma.  There are many great characters in the Mahabharata, who can guide children. Brave Arjuna, Lord Shri Krishna, Dharmaraja Yudhishthra, Bhishma Pitamah, Guru Dronacharya, Danveer Karna and Mahatma Vidur are some such characters.  Not only this, many such incidents are part of the Mahabharata story, which definitely gives some education.  Through them, you can introduce your children to the history and culture of India. All decisions Arjuna took under the supervision of Shri Krishna are good examples of using wisdom and intelligence .  Children can develop decision-making abilities by listening to Krishna-Arjuna conversation .
